Lamp of Lakash: Ranma only THOUGHT Nabiki's wish worked. [Episode 23287]

by dpt3

Ranma tied up Happosai like he was supposed to. Not realizing things had already gone wrong, he then summoned Nabiki the genie.

Time passes differently in the land of the djinn. The business mogul who had been surprised at finding himself in the body of an attractive young lady only to be immediately turned into a genie, had already found his bearings and had a better idea of what was going on than Ranma did.

After the genie had overcome Ranma's initial misconceptions, Ranma and the genie compared notes and pieced together a better picture of what had happened. They'd only just finished, when Nabiki's personal phone rang. Ranma answered it, and was greeted by the rich voice of an old man. It was Nabiki in the body of the business mogul that had been displaced. After an awkward three-way conversation with Ranma mostly relaying the other two's words, they decided what they would do.

Ranma had a wish coming. Even if he had been willing to use that wish to switch Nabiki back where she belonged, Nabiki's body, was at present the genie of the lamp, and immune to wishes until it got back out. Nabiki and the business mogul both wanted to be present when Ranma made his wish. It would take somewhat over an hour for Nabiki in the businessman's body to make it to the Tendo residence. Ranma was supposed to just sit there and guard Happosai while he waited.
