With Naruto the first three had been shifted up several notches and his progeny (if he ever had any) would have those qualities enhanced well beyond the original Uzumaki tendencies.
"Oopsie."
There were things that an elder god could say that would fill an individual with more dread, but "oopsie" was still pretty high on the list.
"Hadn't meant to do that. Wonder where that came from. Huh."
That would have rated pretty high on such a list as well.
"It could be amusing though. We'll see I suppose."
Danzo Himura had a basic philosophical difference from Hiruzen Sarutobi and a large number of the Konohagakure ninja forces. He was loyal to Konoha, but his definition of what was good for his village and what his village represented were significantly different from that other group.
Once upon a time, prior to the Village System, ninja preyed on ninja in a constant battle between the various clans. Inuzuka would hunt Hyuga who would kill Akimichi who would lay traps for and slaughter Yamanaka who would mindflay Inuzuka. There were loose alliances, but everyone would betray everyone else at the shift of the wind and so things were never settled. Revenge against one clan's betrayal led to more slaughter and further revenge.
Because it was a battle to the death without rules, battlefronts, laws, or a greater cause - literally anyone could die at any time. Children surviving to their tenth year was a rarity outside some of the more powerful clans, and it wasn't all that uncommon for a ninja family to have nine or more children with only one surviving to adulthood.
There had been many clans wiped entirely out during that period. Some of whom had developed bloodlines that would have been extremely useful in a more stable environment.
Then had come the Village System with Konohagakure being grown overnight through the Mokuton abilities of the First Hokage. The Uchiha and Senju clans, bitter enemies until then, had put aside their enmity for long enough that they could build something a bit more stable.
Danzo Himura appreciated that stability. If Konohagakure ever fell, he was certain the other villages would eventually follow and the old system would wipe away the new. Danzo also thought that the Hokages had been naive and willfully ignorant. Ninja were meant to operate from the shadows, to purge emotion from themselves, to be weapons that would destroy their enemies.
To preserve the village, to maintain their strength, no sacrifice was too great - no line that could not be crossed.
If things had remained as they had been, the idea of eugenics would never have crossed his mind. He would never have gathered in experts in what were non-ninja disciplines because such things were not as useful to him. Long term planning was something measured in decades at most, not generations.
With the talk about Naruto Uzumaki now having an enhanced Uzumaki bloodline, the idea had been planted and taken root.
He still viewed the jinchuriki as a weapon and one that might be useful to him. Just that there might be more uses than simply another assassin in the shadows.
Which was looking more likely than it had.
"Are you certain this is not something merely related to his jinchuriki status?" asked Danzo quietly as he considered the information just relayed to him.
The scientist in question nodded nervously. Danzo had a habit of making everyone around him a weapon, and if you were too effective as a weapon - then you became a threat to him. Nobody had pointed out to him, on fear of death, the basic problem with that tactic.
"Interesting," said Danzo. "Who else knows about this?"
"The Hyuga were there, some of them are bound to have noticed," said the scientist quickly. After all, if it wasn't a secret - then someone knowing about it couldn't be killed to preserve that secret.
Danzo silently considered what this might mean for his plans, if Naruto Uzumaki's bloodline did actually contain:
