It also generally wasn't known that one of the reasons he'd focussed on his crush (besides he'd seen her being teased once and thought they had something in common because of that) was his little prunus serrulata that he'd nurtured in bonsai form.
Except that the little "Japanese flowering cherry" tree was a bit bigger than was really acceptable for bonsai. In fact, he was planning on giving it to Captain Harlaown (whom he could count on to not only accept it but to take proper care of it) when a proper time came around.
Sakura didn't know that though, and merely crawled inside her namesake to rest.
"Flowers," declared a delivery person.
"Aren't you 'Miss Notch'?" asked Tenten.
"Oh no, I'm a simple delivery person," said Miss Notch, moving the mass of flowers awkwardly to under one arm so she could point to her hat and name badge. "You see? I'm just a simple flower delivery person."
"Uh huh," said Tenten, not sure how to respond to this. Most ninja were at least a little better at disguise then just throwing on a different set of clothes. Especially if someone looked as distinctive as the ragdoll golem did.
"Ah-ano," said Hinata. "Why are here anyway?"
"I'm delivering flowers of course," said Miss Notch, throwing bouquets at both girls. "Here you are. Lovely fragrance, don't you think?"
"No, not really," said Tenten, looking at the flowers she'd reflexively caught. "I-"
(POOF!)
"Well, that was easy," said Miss Notch as the room filled with pink gas emitted by the bouquets. Naturally it didn't affect her. She neither breathed it in, nor did she have skin that would absorb the gas. Now she could accomplish her mission.
