"So the transfer began fading yesterday and was completely gone a day later," said the Hokage.
"Yes, sir," said the ANBU.
"Hmmm. One week exactly," said the Hokage. "I wonder if that means that any further renewals will transfer the same abilities or if..."
"HOKAGE-SAMA!" exclaimed another ANBU as he opened the door while leaping through it and managed to close the door behind him.
"Must you do that?" asked the Hokage drily.
"I'm sorry, Hokage-sama," said the newly arrived ANBU, "but an Academy student from another class named Tenten tried to kiss Naruto Uzumaki, he fled, tripped over Hinata Hyuga and managed to renew her abilities!"
"What?" asked the Third Hokage, wanting to rewind this scene and see if he'd heard it correctly.
"She fainted thereafter when she realized she'd kissed Naruto," continued the ANBU. "But then the girl Tenten kissed Naruto and started manifesting!"
The Hokage looked out at the faces of the Hokage. Was the Fourth smirking? No, surely just a trick of the light. "Oh, is that all?"
"No, Hokage, it turned ugly after that!" said the one ANBU. "Apparently Hanabi of the Hyuga clan declared something about not letting her sister have all the advantage! She attempted to get a liplock with Uzumaki, was interrupted by a young girl named Sakura. After that it got fairly chaotic. Uzumaki, on the other hand, showed uncommon sense in sneaking off during the resulting scuffle."
"Running away after pranks has probably given him lots of practice in such things," noted the Hokage.
"It didn't help when Sasuke Uchiha made the statement that if such power was available, it should be his, especially since at that point everyone seemed to have forgotten that the first time Hinata Hyuga received the seal transfer it was to her hand," noted the ANBU.
"Oh dear," said the Hokage, looking as if he was getting a headache.
"Lord Hokage," said a chunin, opening the door. "Hiashi Hyuga is here to see you."
"Have him wait for a few moments, I might as well see all of them at once," said the Third.
