Chi Journeymage: The Full Council convenes [Episode 235488]

by A Wandering Soul

Nerima was greeted this morning by five young women entering its borders. Normally this would be unremarkable, but these girls were wearing Sailor Senshi fukus, and were roof hopping. If it wasn’t for the fact that these were five of the actual Senshi, this, again, would be unremarkable.

“Are we there yet?” Moon complained. They had been travelling for about an hour, so this was understandable.

Still, it did leave Mars and Mercury, the two inner senshi that she chose to represent her guard, with light headaches.

Saturn, however, giggled, and answered for Pluto. “Almost. We’re supposed to be meeting at the Neko Hanten again, right Pluto-mama?”

Pluto could only nod her head, as she was trying to map out the best way to handle the meeting. She was hoping that her princess would choose Jupiter instead of Mars, but after hearing about how skittish Ranma was around boy-crazy females, she insisted on going with her hot tempered friend.

Things were going to be difficult, no matter how you look at it.

Fortunately for Setsuna, things were simple as they entered the Neko Hanten. It was closed again, and the only resident of the main dining room was a redheaded, pigtailed girl sitting on a table in a meditative pose.

As the group walked towards her, she raised her head without opening her eyes. “About time you girls got here. Cologne already has breakfast set up in the back, and she’s having trouble as it is keeping everybody else from starting without us.”

The senshi of time raised an eyebrow, “Oh? I assume that Inuyasha is the one complaining, am I correct?”

To her surprise (and that of the three inners), Ranma shook her head, “Nah, he’s being pretty nice about it... then again, I think he’s still sulking from getting his ass kicked last night. It’s Jade and Jackie that’s the problem.”

“Let me guess: they collapsed without eating dinner last night,” Pluto deadpanned.

“Got it in one.” Ranma then turned her closed eyes to the three Inners, “Let’s see... we have a girl with a bunch of light based magic and a large ki reservoir, an ice mage with a normal sized one, and a fire-based shrine priestess... are you sure it’s wise to have her around, what with Inuyasha hanging with us?”

Moon, Mercury, and Mars could only gape at this girl. She didn’t even open her eyes, and yet, she could tell quite a bit about what they could do. Pluto could only shrug at this, “Her highness insisted on having her come with us as one of her guards. Considering the other four options were either unavailable or unsuitable, I had to go along with it.”

“Ah.” The girl then opened her eyes, and the three inner senshi were stunned by the fierce look in her blue eyes, “There will be no fighting during this meeting. Don’t make me throw you out, ‘cause I will.”

Mars bristled at this, but jerked sideways when Pluto cleared her throat. “Due to the nature of Crystal Tokyo, I have neglected to inform you of a minor group in today’s population. As of right now, there are scattered groups of beings that you may consider to be youkai, or demons, living amongst mankind. They are only distantly related to youma, and are mostly benign, though they are in no way harmless if threatened. Included in this meeting is a time-displaced Inu-hanyou (half demon) named Inuyasha. He is from the feudal ages, and has the ability to travel back and forth between now and then, as does his friend, Kagome, who is from now. Drop all preconceptions, as, like Ranma-kun here,” the girls jerked over to the redhead, realizing just who they were talking to, “his actions speak louder than his words.”

Rei couldn’t help but stumble in silence at this new information. She had dealt with youma before, but most were artificially made, and only about half of Beryl’s forces had any real demonic taint. To hear that demons as the myths knew them existed, and that there were some good ones alive today, was a shock to her.

Usagi could only frown inside, however. Just how much was Pluto keeping from them, she wondered.

Ami just took it all in like a sponge. She had researched everything the Mercury database had on ki and chi users, but couldn’t find much. Both found their start on Earth, and yet, only the Chi Sages found any respect with the rest of the system. Chi wizards were considered to be minor mages at best, and ki users were based in healing techniques during that period. However, Pluto had regaled them on the way here with tales of amazing feats: Chi Wizards defeating and sealing demons of amazing power, martial artists of great power throwing ki around with explosive results...

The blunette of the senshi was hungry for more!

As they entered the back room, followed by Ranma, they found a large round table laden with pancakes, eggs, and bacon, a surprisingly western breakfast. They also found a large Japanese man, glaring at a much smaller American looking Chinese man and a teenage girl who to be the other man’s relative. To one side, what looked to be a shriveled old crone was arguing with an old Chinese man wearing a yellow vest. Another corner had a Japanese schoolgirl worrying over a white haired boy with... fangs and dog ears?

Ranma got everyone’s attention by walking straight up to the table, grabbing a hot cup of tea, and then pouring it on her head. Immediately, Jade perked up, Jackie frowned, Inuyasha growled, and Cologne could only cackle to herself.

The three Inners could see why. It was the closest Mercury had gotten to drooling a second time in twenty four hours, and it took a lot of willpower for Moon and Mercury to follow her example.

After introductions were made, everybody began moving to sit down when another surprise revealed herself. As Ranma sat down, he grabbed a set of chopsticks and swatted what seemed like thin air. A squawking noise rang through the room, and a pink haired teenager shimmered into existence beside him.

Ranma turned to Sailor Moon, who was gaping at Chibiusa, “I’m assuming that this one is related to you, Princess?”
