[Episode 23665] [Episode 23665]"There you are, you irresponsible two-timing freak!", Akane shouted as a summoned mallet streamed towards Ranma's face.
The surprised Ranma blinked, and then made it look too easy as he dodged at the last moment. Ranma couldn't allow Happosai to escape. He needed to guard the lamp. He also couldn't allow Akane to trash Nabiki's room while trying to work out her anger on him. Partners or not, Ranma might as well sell his soul to Nabiki if he let Akane trash Nabiki's room while trying to work out her aggression on Ranma. The situation demanded an approach that Ranma hadn't really wanted to use before.
The enraged Akane started a quick follow-up. To her surprise, she found her strike was masterfully intercepted. She was launched into a throw that had her environment whirling around faster than she could track. While she could and did try to make life difficult, she was nowhere near enough in control to be effective. The maneuver ended when she was landed surprisingly softly sitting on the floor with her arms pinned firmly behind her and her legs straight in front. Ranma was sitting astride her from behind, and had one arm around her waist. You would think that would make for a weak hold on someone's arms, but Ranma made it work in spite of her initially wholehearted struggles. She was well and truly caught, not that she would admit it to herself.
Akane was furious. In the world before Happi's wishes, Akane would have kept struggling a lot longer. But she found her will to resist the hold she was in being sapped fairly quickly. Her stubbornness kicked in and gave her a second wind in attempting to break free. But Akane's nipples began to harden as she renewed her struggle against Ranma's firm hold. When she was distracted by extreme embarrassment at the realization how hard her bare nipples had become, she no longer could develop the will to continue to struggle.
Ranma of course, didn't ever notice her embarrassment. He didn't even realize why her struggles had weakened so quickly. Akane wasn’t normally that kind of girl, but she was experiencing some of the subtler effects of Happi’s wishes.
Akane could no longer struggle, but she was now embarrassed, and more outraged than before.
The tied-up bitch on the other side of the room quietly said, "Good Show, Ranma my boy!"
That didn't help Akane's mood one bit.
Since Akane's usual method to assuage her anger and pump her ego up had failed dismally on both fronts, she briefly paused to marshal resources for a verbal assault in earnest.
"Akane, meet the new Happosai. She got caught in her own wish.", Ranma managed to get out.
Now Akane's verbal assault that followed wasn't pretty. As usual, it certainly wasn't fair to Ranma. Besides that, the author is finding that Akane characterization is coming across somewhat too strongly of irrational, completely self-centered Psycho-Bitch. So the author is going to skip the lengthy verbal abuse.
When even Akane noticed that she had been repeating herself, she finally grew quiet.
Ranma replied with a heartfelt statement. Unfortunately, it was a wish. And the Lamp was touching his hip.
An array of heads around the doorway ( even Soun ) had been silently observing everything since the first few moments after Ranma had pinned Akane. They witnessed a disembodied voice state, "Granted." Nabiki appeared. Actually it was a mogul businessman in Nabiki's body, but they didn't know that. Ranma was sucked into the lamp by his side. Happosai seized his chance to break his bonds and escape out the window.
For now, it's unspecified what exactly Ranma wished for. Some suggestions might be:
I wish that you had some faith in me, Akane.
I wish that I didn't have ANY fiancées, only really close friends.
I wish that you weren't so self-centered and could see the world from someone else's point of view. The options from here are:
