Ranma poked at the creation. The little ball of cream with a carot for a nose gave him a sad look, “Plue...”
The pigtailed martial artist looked at Kasumi and then back at the cream puff, “I... uh... what is it.”
“Just a little experiment.” Kasumi absolutely beamed as she presented the dish to Ranma, “I want to make sure it is perfect for my next date.”
Nabiki looked down at hers. The tiny creature seemed to beg, “Plu pu pl pul?”
Genma just lunged at his with his chop sticks. The white creation dodged to the side and picked up a spoon and started to parry his attacks.
The not-so-hungry-now-that-the-food-was-begging-for-it's-life martial artist watched his father and his cream puff start to battle in earnest, “Just what did you do differently to this batch?”
“I just put as much feeling as I could into it.” Kasumi smiled serenely silently hoping that this would impress Morrigan, “Won't you take a bite Ranma?”
“Um...” Ranma picked up his chop sticks as he watched Genma's cream puff break those of the elder Saotome with a vicious ripost, “Dunno, they seem kinda smart to just eat'em. That one just improvised a form three defense, with a spoon.”
Nabiki on the other hand had other ideas. She held up a small flash card with a basic math problem on it. She arched an eyebrow as the creature answered the question correctly. Nabiki quickly scribbled down a slightly more difficult problem. The cream puff worked through several problems till it became stumped at a calculus level question. The cream puff fell to it's knees and begged, “Pluuuu.....”
The middle sister smiled, “Oh these will do nicely sis, I'll need at least a dozen for tomorrow.”
Genma's cream puff ducked and dodged the now two handed assault a spoon in it's left arm and with sake dish in it's right arm. The creature leapt across the table taking cover behind the lazy suzan at the center of the table. Akane simply stood up and walked away her cream puff long since leaving her plate to join Nabiki's in contract negotiations.
Off to the side Kasumi pined. How would she ever convince Morrigan of her worth if her cooking kept coming to life like this.
