"Whoa," said Ash, backing away from the insane pokemon.
"I've been trapped here for who-knows-how-many decades, and now the monsters are diabetes-inducing little plushies?!" The Horned Reaper gripped his scythe. "ENOUGH! Now you all D-D-DIE!"
"Pikachu! Thundershock!"
"Pika pika chuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!" said Pikachu, having understood this was coming and having built up his charge for just such an eventuality.
SHOOM! SHOOM! went two other pokeballs.
Misty understood. This creature had flames appear around his scythe a couple of times now. A Fire type, and possibly an insane legendary level. So she threw her own pokeball into the fight, because frankly the idea of being sliced apart really didn't appeal to her. "Starmie! Water Gun!"
"Yoghhhhhhh," said the Reaper as he opened his very large mouth and was suddenly being force-fed enough water to fill a swimming pool.
"Pokeball, go!" said Misty.
"Waghhfffph?" managed the Horned Reaper before everything suddenly went red and then dark.
"What are you doing?" asked Ash.
"I've been carrying these for awhile," said Misty, putting [Quarantine] [Danger] and [Do Not Open] stickers on the shaking and blinking pokeball.
"You have?" asked Ash.
"Yeah," said Misty. "How many times have we run into really dangerous pokemon? Well, if I sent one back to the Cerulean Gym or you sent one back to Professor Oak, wouldn't you think giving them some warning would be good?"
"Well, yeah, I guess," said Ash, considering that. Professor Oak HAD been a little testy right after the Muk.
shoom! went the pokeball, vanishing somewhere.
"When my sisters see that, they'll know to keep the pokeball frozen until I contact them," said Misty. "Honestly Ash, use your head for something besides a hat rack."
Ash frowned at her. "I still need a new hat."
Misty shrugged and got out her pokedex. "Let's see. Huh. Communication functions are down."
"We fell through the world, Misty," said Ash. "I saw planets whizzing by. I'm just glad the transport function on the pokeballs is still working."
Fwash! went a pokeball, appearing in a transport device.
"Oooh, lookit!" said Jessie. "This has to be a rare and powerful pokemon!"
"It says not to open it," noted Meowth.
"That just proves how rare and valuable it must be," concluded Jessie.
"That's right, when we send it on to da boss, he'll be so pleased with us!" Meowth grinned cattily.
"Oh, good, but... shouldn't we check?" asked James.
"Well, maybe..." admitted Jessie.
The lights changed to red and an alarm started up sufficiently loud that even the buildings not so near the Cerulean Gym likely heard it.
"Ah! Dey're onto us, run!" said Meowth.
"So, until we figure a way back ourselves," said Ash. "We've got to get this place going. Oh. Farm's excavated and soil's ready. Which means-"
POP! came a pokemon out of the Dungeon Heart.
"Sunflora!" said the pokemon.
"Go ahead and take care of the Farm then," said Ash.
"Every time you set up a room, you get a new pokemon?" asked Misty. "Not fair! I want new pokemon too!"
"Well, I want a new hat, but I don't see that happening just now," complained Ash. "Besides, we've got to get home somehow."
"Well, yeah, I guess," said Misty, pouting a little. "Do we have water? A pool or something where I can let my pokemon out?"
"Uhm, let's see," said Ash. "I don't see it. According to this Dungeon Heart thing, I only have the basic blueprints. I'd need to buy more."
