Major Po and Relena looked in shock at the hole in the side of the hospital room where Heero had been resting. The two women quickly ran up to the hole and spotted Duo and Heero falling to the ground. However, this shock turned to horror when they realized that Heero hadn't pulled his parachute. The girls' weren't alone in this realization as Duo glanced over and screamed, "What the hell? Pull your parachute man!"
However, Heero didn't respond to his fellow Gundam pilot's shouts. In fact, the young soldier didn't even seem to be conscious. Relena felt her heart lurch, an all too common feeling for her when the mysterious boy was around, at the sight of Heero dropping like a stone. Major Po whipped her head to face Relena when the young princess cried out, "HEERO!"
As if summoned by his name, Heero opened his eyes and pulled his rip cord. Duo looked on in disbelief at Heero's actions. "What is that guy thinking? He should have pulled sooner." Duo's disbelief turned into cold terror when he saw the rip cord snap and the parachute failed to deploy. "Oh shit! I checked that chute myself; how the hell could it snap?!"
Major Po quickly grabbed Relena's shoulder and tried to pull her away from the edge. It was obvious to the major that Heero was going to die now that his parachute had failed to deploy and she didn't want Relena to witness the boy's end. Having someone you care for die was hard enough on people; the young girl didn't have to witness the boy she obviously cared about turn into street pizza. However, Relena resisted Major Po's efforts to pull her away. Tears were starting to form in Relena's eyes and she screamed out, "Don't you dare die on me Heero!"
Without warning, the crest of the Earth appeared on Heero's forehead started to glow. The only one who saw any sign of the crest was Duo who thought that the faint golden glow was a figment of his imagination. Suddenly, the ground started shaking and massive rose bushes shot up. These bushes grew at an impossible rate and linked together to create a slide of roses and leaves. Relena, Duo, and the major looked on in disbelief as the plant slide positioned itself to catch Heero.
Heero himself was shocked as he looked at his unexpected assistance in escape. However, the Gundam pilot refused to let his shock get to him and remained calm. he then calmly slid down the slide noting that he wasn't getting any friction burns. In fact, it seemed like his body was actually becoming healthier the longer he was on the slide. Soon enough Heero reached the bottom and got off the slide and onto the beach. The rose bushes immediately wilted away leaving behind only the car sized roses.
A shocked Duo landed next to Heero and glared at his fellow pilot. "Alright buddy, when did we exit reality and enter wonderland?"
