Ami curled up against Ranma as they sat in an empty crate, with the rest of the animal-Senshi around them.
It was quite dark - pitch black, in fact.
The whole room was also moving.
The above might be because they snuck aboard a ship that had stopped on the shore within a couple miles of where they had escaped Genma and the circus lady (perhaps for repairs - the ship had looked fairly badly off). After all, Genma wouldn't look for them here, right?
Ranma still wasn't sure what this was all about, but had let himself be led/dragged into this. After all, these were his friends, right?
Unfortunately, the ship had set sail early the next morning, and was heading to the mainland... and to new adventures (well, hardships, at least).
