"In your case, you stay a dark elf - but dark elves are now from a village that was destroyed in an earlier Ninja War along with the light elves own village," said Toltiir. "The reason you and the other dark elves have gravitated to Konohagakure is that you have determined that the destruction of your village was simply done to avoid you becoming an annoyance by an individual named Madara Uchiha."
"I see," said Viconia. "And we have not simply gone after this 'Madara Uchiha'?"
"Almost everyone in the public at large believes him dead, and those who know better don't know where he is," said Toltiir. "I haven't changed Madara himself though - so he's still more powerful than your limited numbers can take on by yourselves."
"So he hides himself away from something or someone anyway," mused Viconia, already working out means of investigating and finding ways of going through great and powerful vengeance.
"In the retconned past, all of you ended up dying - but now here you and some of the others are returned due to Uchuugakure," said Toltiir.
"Yes, I see," said Viconia. She glanced behind her. "What of you?"
"Minsc and Boo stand ready to apply the armored boot of righteousness to the soft and squishies of evil," said the tall bald barbarian.
"I should have known better than to ask," said Viconia.
"Squee," agreed Boo.
Tsunade sighed deeply and with obvious relief as the walls of Konohagakure came into sight. Finally, she could get this group off her hands. Then quash this little rumor while investigating the whole ridiculous story about dragon-riding ninjas like the one that had just passed overhead.
Tsunade twitched, but as this was the fourth flyby since she'd entered the Fire Country's border - she was getting a little twitchy and less firm in her insistence this was all genjutsu or some other rational explanation of events.
Two chunin stood near the gate, coming to attention.
"Lady Tsunade, you have been expected," said one of the chunin.
"The Hokage requests you stop by his tower as soon as you drop off your..." the chunin stopped there to try and find an appropriate term. "'Cargo'?"
Tsunade glared at that chunin.
"Uhm, 'merchandise'?"
Tsunade's glare was added to by a frown.
"Maybe - 'those chicks'?" asked the chunin.
Tsunade began cracking her knuckles.
"Kotetsu, maybe you should stop," advised the other chunin.
"Eh, whatever," said Kotetsu.
