Of course in Ranma's life a day does not pass when one of the various women obsessed with his affections does not dramaticly interrupt an important moment in his life, usually forcing matters to progress from merely strange to confounding, or crazy to straight out paranoid schizophrenia with OCD and MPD thrown in the mix.
Ranma has lived his life in this manner for his whole life (obviously). so he knew on an instinctive level something was about to happen.
So it was with a sense of dread, not surprise, that Ranma felt as he turned at the sound of a familiar voice:
