Restart Deluge! JLN: Ranma Flashes! [Episode 243599]

by HVulpes

Ranma had spend the weeks and months in this monstary, under the care of the Monks of Speed. These monks had devoted themselves to an ancient power of speed which their founder had discovered. Ranma practiced the martial arts which they had created based on the ability to strike quickly and not stick around as the other person countered. He had been eating the special food and drink using the unique herbs and plants which they grew only here.

He had mastered the techniques with great speed and accuracy, to the point the monks thought there was something special with him. Especially since he was eight years old at the time, and yet they didn't consider him a choosen one. At least until the lightning bolt shot down from the sky and electrified him. Ranma didn't know how long he had been out before he had woke up. Not see anyone in the room where he had been resting, he ran all over the temple.

It was not until he realized he had covered the entire mountain top complex in second, did he realized he was running at superhuman speeds. The monks looked at where he had stopped and froze before they fell onto their knees, with chants of the "Choosen one".

Ranma looked at his father for a moment before the young boy's stomach roared into action. Running more on instinct then on intellect, Ranma scooped the flatbread which the monks created and the special tea. Which then flowed down his throat and into his stomach at superspeed.

Later...

Genma was looking at the effects which Ranma had undergone with the transformation caused by the lightning bolt. Ranma had become the Master of Speed which the monks had been worshipping, which shocked the man as he just wanted to take their speed-specialty martial arts. Once he had been shown to have the super-speed, the monks had brought out sealed scrolls. One which could only be used by a person holding the special abilities Ranma had.

They provided Genma with copies of the scrolls and Genma was interested. Training which would give Ranma abilities like the Skin of a Ghost, Shield of Speed, Healing of the Rabbit, Stamina of the Long Runner, Spin of the Typhoon, and something called the Infinity Punch. Those were only the top of the scroll's techniques.

'Not sure I like the idea of focusing on one ability over all others, but it is too hard not to do this with Ranma's new speed. All I can do is hope with the proper conditioning, I might bring a balance with the boy's other attributes. Strength, agility and endurance would be major focusing when not teaching him these techiques.

What a prize these scrolls are! I don't have the speed the techniques need, but they can be used as the base for new techniques which I can use. Making storms or becoming like a ghost would be great when... avoiding trouble. Heck, this means I won't have to stop in the next town for a new martial arts manual.' thought Genma, making sure Ranma was performing the Saotome School Kata with his speed increased. Which was hard as Genma was not quite sure if he was actually performing them.

'The one downside of all of this is the boy's gotten hungrier then he used to be, but that is likely due to the fact he's using up calories with his speed. So finding food for the boy is going to be a greater trouble then it was before. I just hope I can find food for him... but his speed might be able to give me advantages if he can move this quickly. Maybe even some legal ones since the boy can perform an entire day's work within hours.

I'm just going to have to use my master mind to plot this all out.' The elder Saotome then thought how to work this to his benefit.

Ranma, however, had moved to practicing one of the skills on the scrolls. He was trying for the Skin of the Ghost by focusing his speed to the most minute aspects of his body. Causing them to move back and forth so fast they slipped though the spaces in the solid material.
