"WHAT?!"
To say that one Saotome Ranma was outraged at what he — currently a soaked "she" — had just learned from her transformed father was putting it lightly.
Standing behind her, an equally transformed Saotome Genma — now in the form of a very large panda, of course — was glaring at her, a sign now being held in one paw. [YOU HEARD ME! YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED TO ONE OF THE TENDŌ SISTERS AS SOON AS WE GET THERE!] The sign then twirled. [NOW, MOVE! WE'LL VISIT YOUR MOTHER SOME OTHER DAY!]
"OTŌ-SAN NO BAKA!"
WHOMP!
A sign then wobbled up from the downed panda, now nursing a very big lump on his head thanks to a thrown cinder block. [THAT DIDN'T HURT!]
Ranma blinked on hearing that familiar voice, and then she turned as a lithe, taller girl leapt down from a nearby rooftop to place herself on the ground right beside the transformed wandering martial artist and now-husband to a certain lieutenant-commander in the Canadian Navy. Gazing at each other, the newcomer peered intently at Ranma for a moment before she sighed. "Don't tell me. Let me guess. Jusenkyō, right?"
Ranma nodded. "Yeah! Spring of Drowned Girl to be exact," she admitted as she gazed down at her considerable bust, and then she gazed at her sister, thumbing the unconscious Genma-panda. "Did you know about this, Kanami?"
Saotome Kanami shook her head. "No. Nabiki-nēchan called Okā-chan to tell her what her idiot father had in mind; the sisters just got told this today, in fact!" She waved Ranma with her down the street towards the Ōizumi-gakuen subway station, which would allow the siblings to travel to Nerima station and switch over to the Ōedo Line for the trip to Hikari-gaoka Station, close to the Saotome family home in Asahi-chō District. "Okā-san's pissed beyond belief; she's gone over to the Tendō place to straighten Oji-san around! C'mon, Onii-chan; let's go home!"
Ranma nodded as she followed Kanami down the street, leaving behind a shuddering Genma, who had just begun to recover from the blow to the back of his head from that damned clone of his child that had been created some months ago thanks to the discovery of something odd within his son's mind thanks to the Neko-ken training…
Wait!
Nodoka was now at the Tendō home?!
Genma then moaned.
This was NOT going to be easy…
Minutes later, two laughing girls made their way into the eastbound train at Ōizumi-gakuen station, taking a seat in the last car on the train as they relaxed close to one of the doors. As the train moved out of the station, nearby onlookers gazed at the near-twins (Kanami's hair was the same deep reddish-brown shade her mother had) as they chatted away in English about what had happened over the last few months.
"«Shinobu got promoted?!»" Ranma exclaimed.
"«Yeah!»" Kanami affirmed with a nod. "«Big sister Naoko got pregnant and was judged not fit to stay in command of Fort Erie since they're going on exercises in the next few days!»" She then sighed. "«Why'd you take so long to get back here, Big Brother?! You promised Shinobu you'd fly out for Toronto and get there in time before she went on the exercise! They're heading out in forty-eight hours! How…?»"
Ranma sighed. "«We swam back to Japan from China; you know how cheap Pops is! Look, you got my phone?»"
"«It's back at the house. And you have to change back first, remember?»"
Hearing that, Ranma nodded. "«Right…»"
As the train made its way into Shakujii-koen Station, the transformed martial artist could only sigh as she recalled the last four months. Being dragged off on yet another training trip to China almost right after he had got married to Shinobu. Finding himself dragged into a valley in Qīnghǎi without any sort of prior preparation or research concerning what might lay in there. Being smacked into the Spring of Drowned Girl by an annoyed Genma when Ranma wanted to take the chance and listen to the warnings the Jusenkyō guide was trying to pass onto them before they began their balance training on the poles stuck into the pools. Remembering that, she then smirked as she recalled how she had taken advantage of Genma's shock on seeing his son transformed to send him flying into the Spring of Drowned Panda.
Pity I couldn't have dropped the dolt into the Spring of Drowned Piglet, Ranma then mused to herself as the train slipped under the overhang at Shakujii-koen while Kanami had her cell phone out and was sending a text message to Nodoka…
The Tendō home, some minutes later…
"OTŌ-CHAN!"
A teary-eyed Sōun jolted on hearing Nabiki's frightened shout, and then he moved to stand up and head towards the genkan to see what was going on.
SHIIING!
"Sit."
Gargling, Sōun resumed his place as Nabiki raced into the living room, followed by a very large panda with a backpack and a rather nasty-looking lump on the back of his head. As the others in the living room all gaped at the sight, the middle-aged woman in the tomesode kimono snared the hot kettle of water from the table and flung it.
SPLASH!
"YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! THAT'S HOT!"
"Hello, husband."
The just-transformed Genma jolted on hearing that icy voice. "N-n-Nodoka…"
Saotome Nodoka rose gracefully to her feet as she swung the family honour blade right at her husband's exposed neck. "There are things we have to speak about, Genma," she stated in a very calm yet frigid voice. "Especially when it comes to the fact that you planned to marry my son off to one of Sōun's girls without my permission as head of the family!" As Genma shuddered, Nodoka leaned down to smile contently at him. "Rather pity it won't happen since Ranma is already married!"
Silence.
More silence.
Still more silence.
And then…
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! THE SCHOOLS WILL NEVER BE…!"
CLONK!
"Whoops!" Tendō Kasumi gasped as she politely covered her mouth after dropping a full tea kettle right onto her father's head. "My fingers slipped!"
As Sōun moaned, Genma blinked as he tried to stare hopefully at his wife while we…
