"Your Highnesses, welcome aboard. Thank you for coming so quickly."
"It's our pleasure, Captain," Oyuki stated as she allowed Lum's father to gently take her hand in his own. "Your president just informed Father about your government's decision concerning Earth. Hopefully, what news we bring will help things go much easier when you actually meet up with the Terrans and the Avalonians."
Invader nodded, and then stood back as Oyuki and her cousin Pukaze greeted Lum and Benten, and then everyone made their way over to the lounge table in the middle of the vast recreation dome on Kashin's spine. Immediately, mess management specialists moved in to serve tea and snacks to the visitors from Triton, and then everyone relaxed. "So have you decided who will be Earth's tag champion?" Pukaze asked.
"Here," Lum said as she handed a PADD over.
The chief of the Neptunian military took the device in hand and tapped controls to gaze upon what was written there. A minute later, she nodded. "He'll be a most formidable opponent. Did you get this information direct from the Special Committee?"
"We did," Invader replied, nodding. "So what do you think will happen?"
"No doubt, you'll be doing this tag race in Canada given that Mister Saotome's wife is legally a Canadian citizen and that he will no doubt want to get as far away from his father as possible," Pukaze stated as she tried to avoid making a face on noting some of the "training" that Lum's upcoming opponent had undergone over the last decade. "You'll be greeted by the Fort Erie alone, which is quite the show of friendliness on the Canadians' part; if they were any bit hostile, they would have dispatched either their battleship Haida or either of their aircraft carriers Bonaventure or Magnificent out, with a full battle group in support. Of course, Canada's major allies such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom and France would have automatically sent forces out to support such a show of force."
"Is Lum gonna get into trouble if something goes wrong?" Benten asked.
Pukaze shook her head. "No, Benten. The Canadians — in fact, the whole of the United Nations (at least those parts that are aware of alien races such as ours) — obviously want this whole thing to go through smoothly, with as little acrimony as possible." She gazed on Invader, an elegant eyebrow arching. "I trust…"
Invader cackled. "I'm in sole charge of this mission, Pukaze. Nothing to worry about from idiots from the Imperial Round."
Both Neptunians sighed. "Well, that's good news," Oyuki said as she took the PADD from her cousin and read over the information there. Gazing then on Ranma's picture, she then giggled. "My, what a handsome man! His wife is a very lucky woman."
"She's one of the first Terrans to allow herself to become an Avalonian," Benten said. "Did it a year before that whole thing on Phentax Twelve went down after our sisters were created. She's Moroboshi Ataru's oldest childhood friend from Japan; she's very close to his sister. In fact, they serve together on that ship, believe it or not."
"Oh, that's interesting," Oyuki noted. "Was Ataru considered as Earth's champion?"
"No, his name wasn't put into the machine since he's living full-time on Okusei now," Lum stated as she gave her friend/lover from Neptune a knowing look. "Besides, I didn't like the idea of facing someone with the blood of a ch'uokyek in him."
"Good point," Oyuki mused as Invader made a face at Benten's mentioning the name of Tariko's brother; in Oni-Urusian, ataru meant "sex-crazed idiot." "Well, if you don't mind, Captain, my cousin and I will stay aboard for the time being."
"It would be appreciated," Invader said, nodding. "But quick question: Why is it the Terrans asked for us to meet them at the orbit line of a minor planet in their asteroid belt? Wouldn't meeting them over Earth be more convenient for them?"
"There's a positive and negative reason for that, Captain," Pukaze said as her deep crimson eyes sparkled with mirth. "The United Nations unilaterally declared, after they learned of us, that the orbit line of Ceres would be the outermost point of their 'claiming' space in our shared solar system for themselves. Atop that, by intercepting you ahead of time, Fort Erie will ensure that you don't learn of too many things when you actually approach Earth itself. Of course, since we have no desire to provoke the Avalonians and the Terrans are doing so much in making them feel welcome and wanted on Earth, we won't do anything to provoke them. Hence, our decision four years ago to send snow through the Central Warp Chamber to Mars in lieu of Earth itself."
Invader nodded. "That's understandable…"
Later…
"Lum-cha, if you don't stop making love to us, you'll end up presenting yourself to the Terrans smelling of sex! I…oh, L-lum…!"
Lum giggled as her fingers gently played with Oyuki's clit as they and Benten relaxed together in the former's private bedroom. All three were naked now as they teased each other both physically and psionically; like her friends from Uru and Fukunokami, the crown princess of Neptune had allowed herself to become an Avalonian shortly after her own twin, Mienai, had come to Triton to visit her template and her family alongside her then-girlfriend (and now fiancée), a Noukiite rear-admiral in command of one of the two main fighting forces based on the planet Magairu (known locally as Kaisei). "You just love me playing with your body, Oyuki-cha! Admit it!" the Oni scolded as she leaned over to gently kiss and nibble the lower part of the Neptunian's earlobe while she spread her legs enough for the Fukunokami to shift her face close to her crotch.
"Of course I do…AH! Lum!" Oyuki gasped as a small orgasm overcame her, and then she laid back on her bed. "You're nervous, aren't you?"
Lum blinked, and then she shuddered as her own orgasm overcame her. "Blame me?"
"Nah, we don't," Benten noted as she pulled away from her lover's crotch so that she could shift herself around to lay against Lum's back. "We're just as nervous as you are, Lum. This is not just Darling's sister we're about to meet, but his oldest friend, too. And his oldest friend's now married to your tag partner."
The Oni nodded as her friends moved to cuddle close to her. "I know. I've never met either Tariko or Shinobu, but from Hensō's passed on to me, both of them are un-bonded. I can guess that Shinobu does want to devote herself to her husband, but…"
"Hey, it's cool, Lum," Benten noted as she reached up to play with her friend's breasts while Oyuki leaned in to kiss her. "In a few hours, you'll see if you'll go through the time of the month with Tariko. If it happens, that's great; the Canadians do same-sex marriage so it'll be legitimate on Earth as well as Uru. If it doesn't, it doesn't. You can still be friends with her; even if he tends to think with his cock more than he does with his brain, Darling's always been a nice guy."
Lum hummed as she allowed Oyuki's tongue to gently dart into her mouth as her own hands came up to gently fondle the Neptunian's breasts. She had met Moroboshi Ataru several times in the wake of the creation of her own Avalonian twin Redet Hensō five years ago in the aborted Project: Kamen. Remembering that, she tried not to scowl as she remembered all the pain and agony the creation of her own twin sister had unleashed, not just on Lum and her three best friends, but on many people who had utterly no idea what forces they were ultimately playing around with.
Project: Kamen had been a plan proposed by Ōgi as a way of providing the famous bounty hunter Nassur and his wife Cinba with four replica-bioroids (then advertised as simple "androids") that he could train as bounty hunters as well as serve as living targets should any of the expat Vosian's many enemies due to his close friendship with Lum's family (and by extension, Lum's closest friends from galactic middle school such as Oyuki, Benten and fellow Urusian Aruka Ran). Of course, Ōgi hadn't counted on Nassur and Cinba detecting the truth about Hensō, Kamen, Mienai and Damasu (Ran's replica), much less their friendship to the Noukiite bounty hunter/free warrior (and Noukiite-form Avalonian), Benten's future sister-in-law Seu-Nuk Yesu-Kye Hechnich'-T'achkaech (known to close friends by her childhood name "Su"). That had, in a way, precipitated Noukiios' attack on Phentax Twelve in support of Ganzo dai-Louc's plan that finally liberated the Avalonians from the Niphentaxians…and, thanks to a terrible curse put on Lum when she was born, resulted in the deaths of five million innocent people.
"Will she like me?" Lum then asked as Oyuki shifted her lips over to gently nibble and kiss the Oni's right earlobe as Benten did the same for her left.
"She will," Benten whispered into the Oni's ear. "Let it come…"
