Lamp of Lakash: the genie grants Kimiko's whim [Episode 24472]

Kimiko thought a wish that that brutal, tomboyish young lady was behaved and dressed as a proper, respectful young lady should be. ( If that sounds familiar, consider that Kimiko was a good friend of Nodoka. ) The wish was just a fantasy, really just a fleeting hope that the problem in front of her would magically be solved before she dug in and worked to find a solution herself. She would have never dreamed such a wish could really be granted. But she was unknowingly holding the Lamp of Lakash.

Genie Nabiki-kun had to fulfill the letter of the wish. But the wish was worded vaguely enough to leave a choice: Apply the wish to Ranma, or Akane?

• As after making a promise to be a faithful partner to Ranma, Nabiki felt she had to choose Akane. A felinoid supernatural being then interceded, pointing out that Kimiko had clearly been staring at Ranma, and obviously meant Ranma as the target. The small act of bringing Nabiki’s attention to a fact she had been inclined to not seek out tilted the balance of decision. Nabiki now was constrained to apply the wish to Ranma. When he soon figures out what happened, he will be very displeased.
• As after making a promise to be a faithful partner to Ranma, Nabiki felt she had to choose Akane. It might even do Akane some good. This wish effectively counters Akane’s previous geas against wearing more than the skimpiest clothing.
