This is a world of Ninjas and a boy named Naruto Uzumaki, but there has been one little change from the world we all know and the one this takes place in.
Chakra is the source of power for all ninjutsu or ninja arts, with ninja being the guardians of the population. Some have larger then normal chakra reserves and some have smaller then normal, but in the path of evolution, one would think having a mate with a larger then normal chakra reserve would be an advantage for having children with the same ability. Children with larger chakra reserves would have a greater likelihood to survive to the next generation.
In this universe, evolution won the day. All women in these Elemental Countries had the instinctual ability to sense the size of a man's chakra, with women becoming more attracted to a man who had a huge... reserve of energy. This made ninja hot sexual icons, with Kages being overwhelm with offers from women and so forth down the ranks.
It also had another side effect, as demon vessels both male and female were more popular with members of the fairer sex. Instead of being alone, they tended to be surrounded by women, there age being the norm yet there were those willing to chase ones not their age.
So where Naruto had been alone in his childhood, in this one he had a fan club of girls around his age with their mothers and other grown women having an urge to match up their younger female relatives with him.
Gaara's life was a easier as well, as he was not as alone as much, even with the people hold fear of him.
