Hippolyta coughed up her last meal as her daughter Diana and the royal attendants looked on in worry. Once the queen finished vomiting, one of the maids walked up and helped the queen clean up. Diana waited until the attendants had made her mother presentable again and had left before she ran up to the queen. "Mother," the teenage princess spoke with fear on the edges of her voice. "What by Hera is going on? You've barely been able to hold down any food for the past week. No poisons have been found in the food and doctors claim you are in good health. Is this some sort of magical attack by someone who wishes us ill?"
Trying to reassure her daughter, Hippolyta gave Diana a small smile. "I don't know what's happening to me daughter. However, I'm certain that the gods will not let me pass away just yet." In the back of her mind, the queen darkly thought about her former lover and his prison that she had to guard.
Suddenly, mother and daughter were shocked to witness the goddess Artemis come walking into the chamber holding something that looked like a compass. The duo were about to get on their knees in homage when the heard the goddess mutter, "Okay it can't be too far now. The signal shows I'm almost on top of him."
The compass in the goddess's hands started to glow. A small beam of light shot out of the compass towards Hippolyta. The light quickly moved to the queen's womb and stayed for a few seconds before fading away. Artemis blinked her eyes in shock and then smacked her forehead. "Chaotic tendencies my sexy untouched butt, this soul causes more trouble then Eris when she's drunk."
Completely confused, Diana genuflected towards Artemis. Queen Hippolyta bowed her head and reverently asked, "Lady Artemis, what brings you here to Themyscira?"
Artemis looked over that the royal Amazonian family and sighed. "I'm here because the soul of a hero was sent into the world from a realm beyond that of the Olympians. The Fates claim that this hero will be a major help to the planet in the future. I was tasked to locate the hero because his location cannot be located through most magical means. How he ended up here of all places I can't even begin to imagine."
"What, there's a man here on Themyscira? But, none of our patrols would let a man step ashore." Diana couldn't believe what she was hearing. There was no way after Hercules that any of the Amazons on patrol would let a man land on the island.
Artemis smirked and relied, "Who said anything about the boy coming ashore? Your little brother is currently resting in your mother's womb, Princess Diana."
