“Well, can we go up to my room for a bit?”
Keeping an easy smile to keep things calm, Ranma nodded to the large girl. “Of course.”
With Akane leading the way, Ranma and Shanpu followed as Anthy and Utena were still repeating explanations to Soun.
Once in Akane’s room, the tigress sat on her bed and Ranma pulled up her desk chair to sit nearby with Shanpu hovering at his side.
After a moment of silence the tigress finally spoke up. “The, uhm, pet thing. What exactly happens?”
Nodding slightly, Ranma decided to tell it as nicely as he could while being honest. “Well, basically it’s just loyalty and sex. Sex slave is one way it could happen, but loving girlfriend with a fair amount of sex also works. Also after a bit you can basically lay off the sex as long as you’re in a loving relationship, or some sort of loyal relationship. Sort of hard to explain since it can be done in lots of ways, but the nicest is to just think loving girlfriend that likes her ears scratched.”
Taking a breath Ranma sighed as he realized it wasn’t that good an explanation. “That’s kinda muddled, but if you got a guy you like, basically just pounce on him and let him know. Not too complicated after that.”
Playing with the tip of her tail, Akane took a moment before shyly speaking up. “Well, you’re the guy I want, so what does that mean for me?”
Pointing to himself, Ranma surprised her by not believing her. “Me? Isn’t there someone else you like?”
Still playing with her tail, Akane relaxed as she came to terms with her decision. “No, the idiot that changed me also proclaimed any guy that wanted me had to defeat me in a fight to claim me. There’s no way in hell I’d let one of those jerks claim me.” Settling down a bit she softened her voice. “So you’re the only nice guy I’ve met. I just want to know what will happen to me.”
Sighing a bit himself, Ranma considered the issue. “Well, with me... hmmm, well, once you learn to take on human form you should be able to control yourself, so maybe just a month or so. Well, what do you want to happen?”
Confused, Akane thought he’d misunderstood. “I’m asking you what will happen, I don’t know anything about all this stuff.”
Ranma in turn just shrugged. “Well whatever you want. You wanna become a warrior or bodyguard, go back to being a normal schoolgirl, get your ears scratched, chase butterflies, whatever. Just do what’s best for you and if you don’t know, I’d ask that big sister of yours.”
Staring as she pondered the possibilities, Akane soon went back to shyly playing with her tail. “Well, about the pet thing? You know, my urges?”
Getting up, Ranma leaned over and rubbed the base of her left ear. “Those urges aren’t bothering you yet. I’ll see what I can do about staying here for a while, you can play pet a little, and if you still want me when those urges do bother you, I’ll take care of you, okay?”
Closing her eyes and enjoying being petted for the second time that night, the tigress gave him a relaxed nod. “Okay.”
Letting her go, Ranma stepped back and gave her a grin. “Well then Miss-Silly-Schoolgirl-in-a-Fur-Coat, I need to go downstairs and have a discussion about arrangements and other bothersome details.” Taking a step away, Ranma paused at the door to turn around. “On, and no more hiding under the covers, or I’ll tickle you senseless.”
Grinning the tigress blew him a raspberry with her wide pink tongue. “Next time I won’t let you win.”
