Catching her father as he finished his packing, Kasumi could tell he needed to avoid his daughters and leave quietly before he broke down.
Despite her father leaving so suddenly Kasumi understood and approved if only because it had been a long time since she’d seen her father with the resolve to do something. His goal was admirable as well, but if he only came back a stronger man from the journey, that alone would be a great result.
Smiling gently, Kasumi presented him with the wrapped riceballs. “Take care of yourself Father. If you find any nice training grounds, I’m sure Akane-chan would love to hear about them.”
Firming up with the gentle encouragement, Soun gave her a quiet nod.
Nabiki advanced on her prey with a smirk firmly in place. “It really might just work out that way. If you’re going to be running the dojo, you’d make a good stay-at-home mom even if you’re the father. Me, I’m the business woman type, so after college I’ll probably be working my tight little ass off. We might really make a good pair.”
Ranma however was proving a little too sensitive to the teasing as she backed up from the grinning girl. “A mom? Me?”
Nabiki decided to keep up her teasing with a grin. “Well yeah, if you’re not careful. Don’t worry though, I’d rather you father my kids, I just meant you’d be in a good position to stay home and raise them.”
Having popped upstairs to change out of her gi into a sundress, Akane came down in time to catch Nabiki teasing her friend. “Nabiki!” Not pausing to actually confront her sister, Akane passed her to stop in front of Ranma and grab the red-head’s hands. “It’s okay, she was just teasing you.”
Shaken by the idea of being a housewife and a mom and all that entailed, Ranma calmed down as the shorter girl held her hands and stayed close.
Feeling Ranma calm down, Akane nodded in support of her friend as she firmed her determination. No way she would let some gross boy have his way with her Ranma. If Ranma was anyone’s waifu, she’d be the... no wait, could they both be the wife? She would definitely be the mommy at least, but Ranma did look good in a dress.
Staring at her new friend, Ranma started to worry when Akane started giggling with that odd look on her face.
Coming in shortly afterwards, Kasumi wasn’t exactly happy with Nabiki either. Not so much that she was teasing Ranma, but that what she was teasing Ranma about might traumatize the poor dear.
Gathering herself, Kasumi realized she was basically in charge of the household, although she certainly wasn’t alone. “Ranma-kun, are you up to being the man of the house?”
Blinking in shock, Ranma was quick to nod despite being a little embarrassed by the rather complex situation.
Pausing long enough to determine Ranma was feeling too shy to speak up, Kasumi continued for her sisters. “Nabiki, tease Ranma like that again and I’ll be giving you bridal training. Still, you are somewhat correct in your ideas.”
Stepping up to Ranma, Kasumi tugged lightly on her dress to make her presence clear. “I can handle the house as a housewife, plus I might be able to attend to injuries with some more training. Nabiki-chan will likely have a hectic career. I’m not sure about you and Akane-chan, but we should make for a rather happy household.”
The situation calmed down, Kasumi moved on to more pressing concerns. “With such few clothes, I believe we should take you clothes shopping as soon as yours are clean.”
Imagining herself and Ranma in matching wedding dresses with matching figures, Akane switched to imagining Ranma in lingerie and other cute outfits.
Giving Akane another odd look, Ranma was completely unaware Nabiki and Kasumi were imagining much the same thing, except in Nabiki’s case she was considering putting together a pin-up calendar of Ranma. Kung-fu housewives were kinda hot, who knew?
