Happosai was a man on a mission as he hopped off one roof to another and repeated the process till he found the two he was looking for. The old man took a deep breath and leapt off the roof praying for a miracle.
Happosai hid his smile as Ranma positioned himself in front of Kasumi to protect her. He nodded mentally as he considered Ranma's actions. If Genma and Soun had been there they would have left Kasumi on her own. He could see that Ranma was puzzled from his actions knowing that he would have thrown cold water so he could glomp Ranma's female body. Happosai glanced around seeing the deserted street would suit him fine as he walked closer to the young man and woman.
"I overheard you two talking about Akane and her actions with Ukyo and Shampoo and how they were using you, Ranma." Happosai stated in a serious tone. "I want to help the both of you get justice for the both of you."
"So how would you help us, Happosai-san?" Kasumi asked.
"Right now I am your only ally since everyone else would either ignore or blame you for Akane and the girls being lesbians. Your fathers would blame and then just whine and cry then shift the arrangement and your mom...who knows how she would react?" Happosai just left the question unanswered. Kasumi and Ranma just paled and frowned. "The girls are against you if they knew you found out somehow knew, the rivals would just blame Ranma for turning the girls into lesbians, and Ranma's reputation is close to the gutter so if Ranma stated what he found out who would believe him?"
"Not a single person." Kasumi answered.
"I may be an old pervert but I take pride in my school." Happosai scowled. "If you think I'm going to let a hypocrite of a slut who stabbed Ranma in the back like Akane inherit a branch of my school you are out of your minds."
"The problem is the fact that she is the only one of the Tendo girls who kept up her training due to their father having a breakdown." Ranma protested. "So how do..."
"I see you figured it out. Kasumi restarts her training in the martial arts. Nabiki has to be deaf and dumb to miss out on Akane's activities so she is out." Happosai stares at the girl. "Ranma is also out since everyone would be against him but you are the perfect person to punish Akane and her girl-friends."
Happosai takes out his pipe and lights it. He inhales the herbal mixture that is lit and blows out a ring of smoke.
"Truth is I'm old and need to see my school not just survive but live well. In the hands of Soun, Genma, and Akane I don't see that happening but in both of your hands I can see it. I will train you not the way I trained your fathers but train you for serious." Happosai offered. "And there are others who can help you as well."
"That sounds great." Ranma sarcastically spoke up. "But where? As soon as people hear about this we will have everyone in the damned district after us and this is my problem not hers. Not to mention we need a lot of time to do this if Kasumi agrees to this."
Happosai nodded glad to see Ranma thinking with his mind instead of his fists at last.
"We will go to a dojo known as the Ryozanpaku run by a friend of mine. His name is Hayato Furinji. It is a gathering place of other masters who can help us." Happosai answered. "Well Kasumi will you do it?"
The girl known as Kasumi Tendo thought about it and knew she could refuse but that would leave Ranma alone. She had tried to raise Akane right and looking through clear eyes knew she had failed considering Akane's actions towards Ranma. It was time to stop being a doormat and to take a stand.
"Yes." Kasumi's one word answered stunned Ranma. No one had every done something like this for him. Kasumi saw the confusion in his eyes. "I've tried to raise Akane right, even got her to promise not to use violence as an answer for your words and that didn't last for a single day, and now what they have done to you tells me one thing. I failed."
Kasumi was close to tears at this point.
"This is the only way to punish her for her actions. The only way she will understand. And it's finally time for to stop being a doormat for her and letting her get away with her actions that hurts you and others." Kasumi firmly said.
"You know it's not going to be easy, Kasumi. It's going to be hell for you and if you take this first step you are going to have to walk down the entire path." Ranma warned the girl.
Kasumi's answer was simple. She took a step and nodded. Ranma knew then and there Kasumi was going to walk the path of a martial artist and warrior.
"Let's go see my friend, Hayato." Happosai said as he led the two out of Nerima cloaking them with his ki to insure nobody would see the three of them.
