"Who said I was limiting it to Ino Yamanaka, Sakura Haruno, and Hinata Hyuga?" asked Toltiir, sounding genuinely puzzled.
"Uhm," said Naruto, the eleven year old sounding a little concerned at that reply.
Jiraiya put the saucer down, drained of the potent rice wine, and withheld any smirk. After all, he'd already switched the saucers on the young Lord before him.
"So you see my point?" asked the young Lord, wondering when that drug would take effect and make the legendary Jiraiya more tractable.
"Oh yes, indeed I do," said Jiraiya. Hmmm, the Lord's eyes were heavily dilated. Fast acting whatever-it-was. Hmmm. If it was what he thought it was, then some mischief seemed to be a necessary measure of payback for the attempt to get him to turn over a manuscript.
"Uhm, what was I..." began the young Lord.
"Did I mention," said Jiraiya, pouring them both another drink from the sake jug, "that I have a godson. You have a young daughter..."
Naruto acked. "Is that...?!"
"Yeah," said Toltiir. "Now, mind you, if I made ten of these arrangements - most likely there would only be three that survived the years. Some would be forgotten. Some would have no interest in you at all. I'd expect the Sasuke Fangirl Brigade to remain fixated on Sasuke. Unless I made him a girl..."
"NO!" said Naruto quickly. "Don't! Pretty please!"
"Oh, okay," said the cat with a shrug. "How about..."
