Naruto Uzumaki age six. Yeah. That was a good time. Plenty of possibilities as he started the Academy.
Now, how best to do this. Teacher? Device? Maybe? A sensei.
Taijutsu, tradition, philosophies. Yes, this would do.
Orochimaru had waited. He knew, due to his being in Akatsuki and Madara getting a little talkative after drinking a bit much, who had the Kyubi. Oh sure, he could always deal with the brat later - when the statue was ready.
But there were always minions that needed to be tested. So why not test one now? Throw the little brat into a pit and just shove food in every so often. If the minion failed - well then the minion failed and it was better to get incompetents out of the way.
Honestly, he wasn't cut out for this. He was a STEALTH expert. Secondary was poison-brewing. You want someone to sneak in, poison someone, and get away before the first corpse had hit the floor - he was all over that. His specialty.
His mission - sneak into a ninja village, kidnap some little orphan brat that was living alone, get back out again, then deliver him to Akatsuki without divulging his mission.
The squirming sack over his shoulder attested to the first three parts of his mission going well.
However he'd run into a tiny little problem.
"LET ME GO DAMNIT!"
The kid SHOULD have been paralyzed due to the poison. For a long time to come. The poison shouldn't have worn off nearly this quickly.
"SHUT UP KID!" said the kidnapper said as he slammed the sack into a tree trunk.
"Stop."
The kidnapper froze for a moment as he extended his senses. Forest. Nobody around. But that had NOT been the kid in the sack.
"SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE?! HELP!"
"SHUT UP I SAID!" said the kidnapper, slinging the sack to the side.
THUNK!
"Told you to stop," said the burly-looking guy, leaving one arm extended where he'd punched the nin into a tree. "Huh. Missing-nin. Your forehead protector there is from Iwa huh?"
The kidnapper threw poisoned needles rather than waste breath on someone who was going to die anyway.
Poof! went the needles through a kage bunshin.
CRUNCH went the sound of someone's spine being pulped.
Naruto blinked wildly as he was pulled out of the sack. He gulped as he realized that his six-year old self was barely more than a handful to this guy. He was HUGE.
"That wasn't a friend of yours, was he?" asked the huge guy, pointing with one hand while he effortlessly held Naruto at arm's length with the other.
"No," admitted Naruto, shuddering as he saw the mess that had been made of the guy.
"Hmph. Well, you're free now," said the huge guy, setting Naruto down and then turning and walking away.
Naruto followed the big guy, not knowing what else to do at this point. "Uhm. Thank you?"
The big guy grunted in reply.
"Uhm," began Naruto as he followed the guy.
"Why don't you go home, kid?" asked the big guy.
"I don't know where that is," said Naruto, meaning that he didn't know where Konohagakure was in relation to where he was now.
The big guy paused as he approached a deer that had been killed and left next to a trail. "No?"
"Can I ask who you are? I'm Naruto Uzumaki!" said Naruto, watching for any sign of hatred or scorn.
"Fushou."
"That's your name?" asked Naruto, wondering who would name someone 'unknown' like that. Maybe he was someone scorned by his own village? Whatever the case, he didn't seem to have any hostility towards himself.
"You can call me that, I suppose," said Fushou, slinging the deer over one shoulder and walking up a trail.
Naruto followed, still not sure of what to do.
"Only students are allowed past this point," said Fushou over his shoulder.
"Students? Students of what?" asked Naruto.
"The fighting arts," said the bearded giant, resuming his walk forward.
"I think I need to learn that stuff," said Naruto. It beat being kidnapped after all. Who knew what weird stuff that guy had wanted to do?
"We'll see," said Fushou, some amusement in his voice. "We'll see."
