Hayate Gekko appeared in a puff of smoke, but then took another five minutes before he finished coughing. "You know, that's why so many people are concerned about your little hobby here."
Naruto frowned. "Whatever. Ain't like they're gonna be buddy-buddy with me in any case."
"Systems active. Good morning, Master."
"Good morning, K-9! Are you ready for school?"
"Affirmative!" said K-9 cheerfully, wagging his tail.
"Then let's go!" said Naruto.
"A robot dog?" asked Kiba, looking at the little thing.
"Yep!" said Naruto.
"Affirmative," said K-9.
"Yeah, well, what can HE do that Akamaru can't do?" asked Kiba.
KA-ZAP!
Kiba blinked at the scorched section on the wall. "I'll bet Akamaru can do that."
"Rowlf?" asked Akamaru.
"Negative, that function is not available."
"Ruff," said Akamaru.
"Indeed," agreed K-9.
"What?" asked Kiba and Naruto together in an odd chorus.
"Rowr." "Nothing, Master."
"Seats everyone, class is starting."
"Okay, Tenten. Demonstrate bunshin."
Tenten went through the hand-seals quickly and produced a duplicate.
"Okay, henge technique?"
Tenten took a deep breath and shifted her appearance to match one of her classmates.
"Okay, though you didn't quite pull it off with your arm there," said the teacher. "Good enough for now. Kawarimi?"
Tenten did that, a little easier than the henge.
"Next is your taijutsu test," said the instructor. "No claws, drills, or extending swords please."
"You don't give others instructions like that," noted Tenten.
"I don't need to with anyone else," pointed out the instructor. "Outer yard."
