It wasn't that she didn't trust Naruto. Naruto wouldn't do anything to hurt her on purpose. It was just that sometimes his efforts didn't turn out as he had planned. Stories of ramen monsters for example.
The pillar shattered, and a woman strode forth.
Her skin, hair, eyes - everything was blue. Wearing a full formal kimono that was such a pale blue it was almost white, with darker blues of snowflakes embroidered upon it.
I see that I chose correctly, the ruler of your realm is here. Formal attire was appropriate.
"I- I hear her? In my head?" asked Hinata.
The woman regarded her from the corner of her eyes.
And I hear you, human. Open your mind to me, my summoner.
"W-what?" asked Hinata, trying not to think of anything that an enemy might want to know.
Hmmm. A bit rushed and disorganized, but I think I understand the basics.
"Hinata, are you okay?" asked Terra.
"I can hear her - in my mind," explained Hinata, looking nervously at the woman.
Control yourself child. I don't bite. Well, not little girls and... by all the elements how long HAS it been?
Hinata swayed back and fell on her butt, her face turning shades of red that approached incandescent. "Eep!"
Child, I am Shiva. An Avatar of Ice. It appears that your 'summoning contract' is a form of Bond. Meaning that I could summon you to my realm, you can summon me to yours, and we can communicate and survive in each other's environs. Hmmm.
Shiva had gone to the scroll and was looking it over. Crude. Effective. Some of it is duplicated, particularly here in the section specifying the willingness of the summonee and to not harm the summoner. You really should have put a time limit in though.
"Actually, Naruto wrote this," said Hinata, pointing to her favorite blonde.
Very young, as are you, oh. This is THAT boy.
"Eep!" eeped Hinata, coloring and looking very nervous.
That's the boy you're interested in, how intriguing. Kind of cute actually.
"Th-that's not it!" protested Hinata.
"What's not it?" asked Naruto as he started walking closer.
Very well, Hinata Hyuga, thought the smirking Ice Maiden. I agree. I will help you.
"That would be good!" said Hinata.
"Uhm, can you explain what's going on, Hinata?" asked Naruto.
"Well, that's..." Hinata turned and found that Naruto was now close. Very close. "S-s-s-s-Shiva agrees to be my summons."
Woozy from Naruto being so close, Hinata swayed as if she were about to fall. Naruto being so close caught her. Hinata's eyes widened for a second on realizing she was being HELD by Naruto. "EEP!" Hinata passed out.
"Must have exhausted her chakra," reasoned Naruto.
The woman of ice inclined her head and slowly faded away.
"Hmmm, that was interesting," said Hiruzen Sarutobi.
