Mischief Fragment - Wishcraft: Getting noticed [Episode 250677]

"Ah, so this is it!" said Naruto, carrying a box of his stuff as he ran past the crowd. "My mom's old place!"

"Where does he get all this energy?" complained one of the girls, lugging a similar box.

"This must be that 'fires of youth' thing that weird guy was talking about," said Ursula, shaking her head. "The young Lord is running all over the place."

"I still don't accept he's the young Lord," grumbled the same young girl.

"A roof over our heads," said a young sparkly-eyed kunoichi carrying three boxes.

"Food, indoor plumbing!" exclaimed another young sparkly-eyed kunoichi carrying two boxes.

"Eh, big deal," grumbled the complainer.

"Oh wow! Check this out!" yelled back Naruto from a ladder which had been left propped up against the house.

"Hmph," said Lightning, scowling - though that was pretty much her normal expression.

"Hey and I get a TRAINING AREA!" exclaimed Naruto, now jumping up and down on the roof and pointing down into the backyard.

"Was I ever that young?" asked Yang Fang.

"I think not," said Cyan.

"And there's a - oops!"

"He fell off the roof," noted the grumbler. "What kind of ninja is he supposed to be!"

The result was that most of the class was unsure of how to deal with Naruto. ESPECIALLY considering the word that had reached them that he was now a clan-heir.

"When did... Naruto get cool?" asked Ino. "Relative to how he used to be, that is."

"Maybe he was just so uncool that anything was an improvement?" asked Sakura.

Both girls shook their head. Something had just fundamentally changed in the universe and they weren't sure how to handle it. But if they were nicer to Naruto, wouldn't that hurt their chances with Sasuke?

Hinata saw something different. Naruto had been a loser, like herself. Naruto had found a way to be a winner by going around his limitations and finding a strength instead. Now he was being rewarded. Would these clan retainers have found him if he hadn't proven to have talent in fuuinjutsu? She didn't think so.

The other girls also came to conclusions.

Naruto, on the other hand:
