Completing her rooftop sweep of the streets around the alleyway she’d chosen to hide the cart in Ranma-chan dropped down cobblestone surface whilst executing a Amaguriken Clothes Change; complete with a douse of hot water reverting her back to a him in thanks to a thermos of hot water he’d taken to keeping on him these days. That done he approached the cart with the intention of finding out what he’d stolen only to stop, becoming pensive.
“Ok, gotta do this right.” Ranma said to himself pulling out the book that had started this whole mess while taking a seat on a bunch of crates. Opening it he thumbed along the table of contents until he found the heading he was looking for. “Here we go. Steps of a Successful Theft: What to do once you successfully stolen something.”
Flipping it to the right page while keeping more than half an eye on his surroundings Ranma started to read.
'First: Secure The Goods You’ve Stolen. As we mentioned earlier you should have selected a place you consider safe in which to peruse the items you’ve purloined. This location can be anything from an Alleyway to a Pent House Suite. Personally, I suggest the establishment of a base of operations – See Chapter Twenty Three: Establishing A base Of Operations – but I digress.'
'For now we will cover what to do if you’ve chosen to use an alleyway, or some other open location. First off, if what you have stolen is comes in a container, be it a simple wallet or some other, discard anything that could identify ownership of the what you’ve purloined back to its owner.'
Ranma idly noted there was an addendum of 'Stolen Credit Cards & Identification and their uses are covered in a later chapter: Making It Someone Else’s Problem – Identity Theft & You.' as he closed the book to slip it up his sleeve and into his stuff space.
“Ok. Seems easy enough. Ditch the cart.” Ranma said jumping to his feet. “First, lets see what we got under this tarp.”
