"Yeah. It'll wipe me out though," said Naruto. "I've done it before you know. How's it going, Hinata?"
"Steady," said Hinata, sitting on the spelljamming helm and directing it with her exceptional control.
"Dragonfly-class spelljammer Little Wing is ready, Cap'n," said Ino with a smart salute.
"You're sure you can adjust the landing in case we're in a too-small area?" demanded Sakura.
"I've done it before, haven't I?" asked Naruto.
"Not this far, you haven't," Sakura reminded Naruto.
Tenten nodded, reaching up to adjust her Captain's hat. "Very well, Mister Uzumaki. Teleport!"
The Hokage held up the tag, saw the crackle and realized what was about to happen. Once he saw the size of the shape beginning to form, he reacted with all the speed he could muster at his age. That was still sufficient for the task as the shape wavered and solidified.
Ten tons of ship of appeared in the air outside the Hokage tower.
"See, I told you," said Naruto, panting and leaning against a railing.
"Set us down in Training Ground 12, Hinata," commanded Tenten as ANBU started appearing on the deck. "I expect we're going to have a LOT of questions to answer."
"So," said the Hokage. "To sum up?"
"Tenten now rates as a special jonin as far as weapon skills are concerned," stated Ibiki, biting off a piece of jerky and thoughtfully chewing it as he offered the bag to the Hokage. The Hokage held a hand out, politely declining.
"Other skills are genin level to chunin level, but she's well acquainted with a large variety of weapons," continued Ibiki, who consulted his notes. "Her expertise remains thrown weapons, though she is also quite good with a pair of unusual butterfly swords."
"How unusual?" asked the Hokage.
"They're named weapons," said Ibiki, consulting his notes. He wasn't a weapons expert or a metallurgist, but he had those on staff who were more into such things. "She calls the blades 'Stabby' and 'Choppy' but apparently bear the names 'Spellcutter' and 'Parry' - primarily defensive abilities from what I understand."
"I see, go on," said the Hokage, fumbling with his pipe as he apparently watched the sunset.
"As she is already a genin and assigned a team, I would recommend returning her to her team and advising the jonin-sensei to keep an eye on her. I will re-evaluate on a yearly basis, same as I would do for any returning ninja who has been on an extended mission in foreign territory," said Ibiki.
"Prudent," noted the Hokage.
"Ino Yamanaka has been trained in what the other world terms a 'Psion' of a sub-type called 'Telepath' with her abilities awakened," said Ibiki. "Her weapon skills have largely atrophied though she favors the use of a shortspear when she feels the need for a weapon. The Yamanaka clan has shown great interest in seeing if she can teach others some of the new techniques that she has been exposed to."
"Understandable," noted the Hokage.
"Hinata Hyuga," began Ibiki, pausing. "Her unarmed combat skills have been described as 'lacking' or 'uninspiring' from her family. However, she has developed some considerable skill in the time she was away."
"Well, that'll make her family happy," said the Hokage. "Though if Hiashi were to ever smile, it might qualify as a sign that the world was about to end."
"Sakura Haruno," continued Ibiki. "Prior to this journey was considered technically brilliant but without any particular single ability. It was recommended by Iruka Umino in her file that she be trained as a genjutsu specialist. She has changed the most in their time away."
"Oh?" asked the Hokage.
