She still managed to dodge, jumping over a group of kunai that Sasuke had thrown.
However, having worked out with Kyon over the past few weeks, Sasuke had just used the kunai to set up for his real attack. In this case, blowing a great big fireball at Asakura after she'd left the ground and was arcing up.
When she landed, her clothes were burned and large patches of skin had been reddened. Even her hair was looking scraggly and disarrayed. She still held the two knives, one in each hand, and glanced from one genin to the next as she considered her next move.
Asahina whimpered as soon as those eyes landed on her again.
"Kakashi-sensei?" asked Naruto as he circled a little to the side, the wooden sword Hinata held in a ready position. "Should we try to capture alive?"
A little swirl of wind and leaves, and suddenly Kakashi was standing there behind Asakura. "Meh. I don't really think it's necessary. We can get answers from the civilian model and eliminate the military unit."
Ryoko had startled, stumbling around when Kakashi had appeared behind her. Now she exploded into motion, heading for Kyon who was between her and Asahina.
There was the sound of birds chirping before Ryoko went down with a hole in her chest and Kakashi now standing very close to her.
"You know that's not enough to kill her," said Sasuke, ready to use another fireball.
"No," said Kakashi, putting his foot down on the back of the girl next to the gaping wound. "It's enough to slow her down though."
"You can't beat me," said Ryoko, struggling.
"We already have," said Sasuke.
"It's really odd," commented Kyon from where he was guarding Asahina. "I've nearly been killed by her twice in my own world, but I'm actually feeling sorry for this version."
Ryoko whimpered. "Is this what pain is? I do not like it. How can you bear it?"
"It's what humans do," said Kakashi as he regarded the figure beneath his foot. Finally he decided that:
