"Ah, finally here we go," continued Celeste. "Timeline stabilizing as a Star Trek/Star Wars cohabitation. Temporal intersect marked at 2270 Anno Domini equivalent to 810 years prior to the destruction of the first Death Star."
"So what's the current situation?" Mambo Jack asked.
"Well, the Neo-Sith have only just been pretty much wiped out within the last two centuries, and the Jedi are at the height of their esteem. It will be another half a millenium before they adopt the Padawan Learner system, assuring their own eventual decline and destruction."
Celeste cocked her head to the side, commenting, "One has to wonder if perhaps they were manipulated into such a blind policy by the current Sith Lord."
"In any case, the Corporate Sector does not yet exist, and hyperdrive motivators are too large to be installed on starfighters or probe drones."
"So how do you think the Vulcans are going to react to the Jedi?"
Celeste snickered, "You know just how maddeningly illogical their concept that morality is fundamental to nature is. They, and the Betazeds, can certainly learn the techniques, but the philosophy is just too ridiculous to take seriously."
"Sounds like a potential crusade."
"Hmmph. There going to be too busy dealing with the Klingons, and perhaps the Romulans. They are, after all, the only real unifying pseudo-military force in the Galactic Republic, which is, after all, simply a loose confederation of planets, and never faced a critical military threat prior to the Clone Wars."
"Trial by fire, in other words"
"Quite right. Of course, the real question is whether or not they can realize the threat of Klingon and Romulan encroachment before the more fanatical Jedi manage to incite the Federation into direct action. Particularly since the closest worlds to the Federation are the Core Worlds and Deep Core."
With that, Celeste turned to a different screen. "In any case, that's another four score years down the road. Shall we see how the changes have altered the situation with regard to Akane's labour?"
