Near Azuma High School in Tōkyō's Nakano Ward…
It was a normal house for a normal family.
Or so neighbours would believe at first glance.
Appearing at the front gate with the usual crack! that marked someone apparating using magic, Albus Dumbledore paused to gaze on the name plate to the right of the main gate of this home. "Kasuga…" he read out the kanji there; he was knowledgeable in Japanese thanks to work he had done after World War Two to help the magicals of the island nation recover from the war, especially the downfall of the Dark Lady Tsukuyomi, a mad witch trained in the traditional ways who was as mad in her own way as her counterpart in Europe had been. Taking a deep breath as he gazed on the note passed to him by the man now calling himself "Doctor Destructo," the elderly headmaster of Hogwarts then whispered an unlocking spell to open the gate, and then quickly cast a notice-me-not charm over him so that whoever was inside — or whoever could be seeing this from neighbouring homes — wouldn't see him literally break into the home.
Once past the front gate, he ghosted — even if he was an archmage in magical power, he had learned many non-magical things, especially from excellent teachers such as one Major Deannette A. Raeburn during the Second World War — to the front door. A glance through the living room windows of the residence revealed a young lady seated in front of a television. Noting that the young woman there was about the same age as Harry Potter, he then gazed on the note in his hand. "Kasuga Ayumu…" With that, he made another whispered unlocking spell to open the front door and then he stepped inside, moving quietly so as to not alarm anyone else inside the home.
"Eh…who's there?"
Dumbledore's breath nearly caught in his throat on hearing that airy voice with its noticeable Ōsaka-ben dialect, and then he turned…to find himself staring right into the eyes of the young lady he had seen through the living room window. Shocked to discover that his notice-me-not charm — which had served him so well in years past — hadn't deceived this young girl, he then sighed. "Miss Kasuga Ayumu, I presume."
A nod. "Hai."
He then levelled his wand at her.
"Finite Incantatem!"
A second later, a brilliant flash inundated the whole Kasuga home with energy…
In the sky over Tomobiki, that moment…
"BOSS!"
"What is it?!"
The sensory officer of the Redet Glory, the cruiser-sized yacht of the current head of the Imperial House of Redet, spun around to see the executive officer of the craft — who also doubled as the executive officer of the battlewagon Kashin whenever Lum's father had switched his flag to the larger warship — standing nearby. "Sir, we just picked up a very unusual burst of energy emit from somewhere to the east-southeast of us, about ten Earth kilometres away. There's a VERY high meson content to it."
Silence.
More silence.
Still more silence.
And then…
"They Who Must Never Be Named…?" the white-faced older officer then gasped as the whole bridge crew seemed to quiver in horror on hearing that news.
A shaky nod of the head. "It's Infinity…!"
A horrified shriek filled the bridge of the yacht…
Back at the Kasuga home…
"Eh…oh! Ah! Dumbledore-kōchōsensei! O-ha!"
A dazed and confused Albus Dumbledore blinked as his vision slowly returned, the brilliant radiance which had exploded from the body of the young woman he had just used the Finite Incantatem spell on finally fading to reveal the woman in question.
A woman that the elderly headmaster of Hogwarts had met many times before.
A woman he could remember NOW thanks to…
"Oh, my God…!" Dumbledore breathed out. "Why on Earth did…?!"
A confused blink. "Did what?"
Surprised to hear that question from the Yizibajohei-gifted native of Wakayama south of Ōsaka, the elderly archmage took a deep breath. "We were made to forget everything that Grigori Wyszynski did for people like yourself, my dear," he said as he gazed upon the slate-grey bodysuit that had appeared over the body of the woman born Kasuga Ayumu.
The woman who had been — for six years — the twenty-sixth incarnation of the being known throughout the Universe as the God Who Walks Amongst Men.
Infinity.
Fortunately for those who had done this, said living "god" who could literally CREATE and DESTROY anything up to and including whole REALITIES with just a THOUGHT — a being that could fight any REAL deity to a STANDSTILL if she was forced to! — was perhaps the kindest "living weapon of mass destruction" (as Severus Snape had once nicknamed the new Infinity) that Albus Dumbledore had the pleasure of meeting in his many decades of life.
Though I shall not be so kind! the headmaster mused to himself as he took a deep breath. "I'm afraid that the Men in Black were responsible for our collective amnesia, child," he then stated. "I suspect it was because Moroboshi Ataru was selected to be Earth's so-called 'tag champion' when the Urusians came here last year…"
"AH!"
He jolted. "What's wrong?!"
The transformed Ayumu then began to cry. "Oh, no! Ataru-kun! Is he okay?!"
"He's quite fine, my dear," Dumbledore assured her. "Fortunately for us, Grigori came to Tomobiki just now to remove the memory-blocks on his mind. He just took Ataru back to Yiziba to be with the Lady Negako." A sigh. "Much that I would hate to impose on you so soon after you regained your memories and control over your powers…"
"Those alien mushrooms in Tomobiki, right?"
A nod. "Yes, my dear child. Would you be so kind?"
"Yes, sir!" Infinity said as she gave him a jaunty salute.
And in a flash of light, she vanished…just as a polite cough turned Dumbledore's attention to the two older people that had just walked down from the upper floor. "I take it that you know who it was that wiped out our memories as well, Kōchō-sensei?" Ayumu's mother Kasuga Yuki then asked as she gave the Hogwarts headmaster a look.
"I do indeed, my dear Yuki," the elderly archmage stated as he nodded politely to Ayumu's father Toru. "And believe me, were I just the only one affected by this, I would be quite prepared to deliver some proper punishment to the people who did do this to me. But given that I now suspect that ALL of those Grigori has helped over the years gain powers from the Great Crystal of Power on Yiziba will soon awaken to their memories, there will be quite a line-up of metahumans about to knock on the door of the Special Committee on Alien Activities in New York City soon enough."
"Well, that's a good thing," Toru stated. "Do you have to go right away, Kōchō-sensei? You look a little peaked there. We could have some tea."
Dumbledore smiled. "I would be delighted, my dear boy."
As they moved into the kitchen for a late night pick-me-up, we…
