[Episode 2537] [Episode 2537]Rain. It always begins with a fight in the rain. So let’s not break the pattern.
If there were two things Nerima was known for it was inclement rain and pokemon trainers. So the shoppers weren’t too concerned to see a girl and her snorlax arguing and racing down the street - at least, not for the girl, though the shopkeepers did hastily gather up their edible wares. They became too busy to listen to the argument or notice the snorlax club the girl with a street sign. They were also too relieved that the threat to their merchandise was leaving that they didn’t notice the snorlax shove the girl into its mouth.
Don’t worry, she was fine. Pokemon violence is mostly slapstick, and so a damp snorlax arrived at the Tendo Pokemon Dojo with a damp and sticky girl. Much confusion abounded and Ranma went up to the furo to wash the slobber off while Soun recovered from the shock that his girls’ fiancé was a girl.
Then Akane walked into the bath, stark naked, and more confussion reigned. Also concussion and a few contusions as Akane threw her fighting pokemon at the ‘pervert’.
“What’s going on?” the tall and polite Kasumi demanded. “Are you really that girl?”
“That’s right,” Ranma answered. “It happened at a cursed training ground in China. After watching our pokemon battle on top of bamboo poles over pools of water we learned of the tragic stories. A different pokemon had drowned in each of the pools and now any who bathed in the water would take on the form of that pokemon when splashed with cold water and return to normal when splashed with hot. And so my idiot father decided that we should dunk our pokemon in various springs without listening to the rest of the story.”
“How was I to know the pools would affect people?” Genma demanded. “It wouldn’t have been a problem if you had trained you’re pokemon better.”
“You didn't have to push me in!”
“What are you complaining about!” Genma demanded. “At least you fell into the spring of the drowned trainer.”
“Drowned girl trainer!” Ranma reminded his father.
“Well, your problem isn’t so bad,” Soun decided and introduces his daughters as potential fiancées with predicatable results: Ranma was tossed about like a hot potato, Akane was thrown to the wolves by her sisters, Ranma insulted her while trying to break the engagement, Akane attacked with a table and Ranma counteratacted with his forbidden poke-ken technique.
Which brings us up to the point where Akane was cuddling up to a thoroughly embarassed Ranma, Kasumi and Nabiki were reelling in shock and the echo’s of his Attract Attack, Soun and Genma were congradulating each other and planning the wedding and ...
