Honestly, why Shizune and Tsunade didn't just come forward with their relationship was something Kurenai didn't understand. It was obvious to her.
"Naruto and Jiraiya returned to the village," said the chunin. "There was a brief test of the two Sannin' apprentices followed by the decision that Naruto Uzumaki was to be given a full physical exam."
"Oh?" asked Kurenai. "Well then. Team 8 dismissed. Meet me tomorrow at eight, training ground thirteen. Oh no, Hinata. You'll head to the hospital and give the Hokage the mission report."
"M-m-me?!" asked Hinata.
"Yes, you used your Byakugan to spot Naruto's return, and you may have some useful insight to contribute." Kurenai glanced down at the younger girl. "Unless you have clan business..."
Kiba turned to Shino and shrugged. "Okay, see you tomorrow."
"Troublesome," muttered Shino before following Kiba out of the room.
Hinata swallowed nervously before reaching for the door. Should she look before she entered? Wouldn't that be rude? Would it be considered abuse of her bloodline?
She entered, then came to a complete halt as what she was seeing froze most of her higher functions.
"Close that door!"
Hinata considered leaping out the door and THEN closing it, but managed to close it while remaining in the room. Just not looking anywhere near Naruto.
"Good, Hinata. I'm not sure why you're here, but we could use you right now," said Tsunade. "Naruto, finish taking off your shirt."
Naruto slowly shucked off the two shirts, laying them aside.
"Oh my," said Shizune. Muscles aren't supposed to ripple like that on a sixteen year old boy.
Sakura and Hinata nodded silently as the shirt thudded to the floor. Wait, thud?
Tsunade wasn't paying attention to that, her hands glowing as she performed a diagnostic jutsu. "Muscle density is... ten times what I would expect. There's also some differences on the genetic level?"
"One of the times Shen Long appeared, I made a wish," said Naruto, making a fist and pumping it - which caused his slender arm to suddenly pop out in hard slabs of muscle. "It wasn't fair that Goku got to get so much stronger so fast!"
"What the brat did," said Jiraiya, sitting on a table nearby, "was to keep someone from shouting out a wish that would have turned out badly for us. What he DID wish for was that all of us there for that had Son Goku's ability to recover quickly from injury and with a substantial power increase. I believe the term we later learned for it was 'Zenkai Power' or some such."
"You too, Jiraiya?" asked Shizune.
"Me," said Jiraiya, cocking his head as he tried to remember the event in question. "Me, Roshi, Ranma (not that THAT brat needed it), and Krillin. There was someone else, wasn't there?"
"Like you forgot her," said Naruto. "Hey, Granny, dig this!"
"What are you..." began Tsunade as Naruto began to glow.
"NARUTO!" yelled Jiraiya. "Stop that now. We're indoors. In a hospital. Full of injured people and delicate machines."
"Oh, right," said a clearly disappointed Naruto as he relaxed and stopped glowing.
"Do I understand correctly that you're suppressing the majority of your chakra?" asked Tsunade, taking a couple of steps back and regarding Jiraiya before returning her attention to Naruto. "How strong have you gotten?"
"Over nine thousand, dattebayo!" said Naruto.
"Hard to say actually," said Jiraiya. "Every scouter or sensor we've tried generally blows up before we get past Sage Mode. Much less Sage Enhanced or Super Sage."
Tsunade blinked at Jiraiya, then turned away. "You too. Jiraiya. Get your shirt off."
"Oh?" asked Jiraiya.
"Don't even START," said Tsunade, still not looking at him. "Both of you have clearly been doing things that are both dangerous and unauthorized and I'm going to have to check both of you out."
"Can we get some more food, I haven't eaten in HOURS?" asked Naruto.
Jiraiya took his shirt off. Three of the women in the room stared.
"I thought Jiraiya was older," said Sakura after a good look.
"Naruto's fighting style is generally more speed oriented than mine," stated Jiraiya, enjoying female attention - even if it DID look like Tsunade was about to get angry and spoil the whole thing.
"Hinata? What can you tell me about their chakra pathways?" asked Tsunade. "Hinata? Hinata? HINATA!"
"Eep!" eeped Hinata, jumping and turning four shades of red in rapid order. "W-w-what?"
"Stop staring at Naruto and tell me what you can of his chakra pathways," ordered Tsunade.
