Fierce Arctic-cold winds blew fiercely through the North Pole, carrying snow over the ruins of the once mighty fortress that was the Earth base for the forces of the Dark Kingdom of the Negaverse. Though one would not see the ruins as such though, it stood still, but now as a memorial. A memorial to those fallen in battle.
The area had almost been completely destroyed years ago by the final battle between The Moon Princess and combined being that was Queen Beryl and Queen Metallia. It was completely deserted, the surviving Youma and soldiers of the Negaverse fled the fallen palace to return to the Safety of the Negaverse...
Except for one prisoner. His body had been trapped in a giant crystal of Dark energy and put in the deepest levels of the castle.
"Moon...Lioness...Slash!!!!!" Came an echo. Snow that had covered a large crystal shook loose and fell off. One could see the figure of a human contained within it...
"Moon...Lioness...Slash!!!!!" Came the echo again. Snow fell from the ceiling and walls of the basement of the ruins.
Jadeite, the ex-Dark General of Queen Beryl had been condemned to the Crystal imprisonment as punsihment after one too many failures against the Sailor Senshi. Without Beryl and Metallia's power to feed the enchantment, it had been steadily weakening until it was almost completely broken.
"Moon...Lioness...Slash!!!!!" Came the echo once more. The Purity behind the voice that caused the echo caused the crystal to crack.
"Moon...Lioness...Slash!!!!!"
The crack became larger, and started to splinter off all around the crystal that was encasing the former Dark General.
"Moon...Lioness...Slash!!!!!"
"Moon...Lioness...Slash!!!!!"
"Moon...Lioness...Slash!!!!!"
And finally, the crystal prison exploded.
With an almost bestial roar of pain, Jadeite fell onto the cold, hard stone floor of the lowest level of the ruins. He gasped and coughed. Jadeite realized he was breathing... That meant he was still alive! He was alive and freed! "This could mena that maybe Queen Beryl will give me another chance!" Jadeite thought with glee. He had a beef with Sailro Moon, Mercury, and Mars. And let's not forget that wimpy Tuix-boy, if he was still alive that is...
Jadeite stood up. He blinked as he found the silence quite odd. "There's no one here... Where is everyone!?" He called out. Only silence greeted him.
Growling in anger, Jadeite made his way up the staircase. He found it odd that it was so decrepit... As he started to go up through the levles Jadeite was surprisd by how much colder it felt. "BRRRRRRR!!! What happened to environmental control? It's freezing here!"
Jadeite walked up and down the deserted corridors of the halls for hours, finding no trace of his fellow generals or any of the Youmas. "WHERE THE DEVIL DID EVERYONE GO!?!?!?"
Jadeite was furious. Where was everyone!? Running to the end of the hall, Jadeite ran up the stairwell so that he would reach the Throne room to the palace.
Jadeite then tripped. he looked at his feet. "Snow? What the devil is going on!?"
Getting back onto his feet, Jadeite climbed up the stair well, intent on asking Beryl what the meaning of all this was. But when he got on the ground floor and emerged onto the frozen landscape of the North Pole instead of Queen Beryl's throne room, Jadeite finally realized that something was very wrong.
"We... We lost?" Jadeite fell onto his knees, the wind blowing against him. He was overwhelmed by the surreality of it all "Everything is gone? EVERYTHING IS GONE!?"
Jadeite was trembling now. He screamed and wept at the loss of his purpose in life. The Negaverse had lost! The earth was lost to them! "NO! THIS CANNOT BE HAPPENING! THIS JUST CANNOT! What, WHAT HAVE I BEEN FIGHTING FOR!?!?!?" Jadeite called out to the sky, expecting no answer...
But he got one...
"Aww... Poor, poor baby..." Came a male voice, one filled with mirth and spite. "Is the little Dark General pissing his pants now that he realized his 'home boys' lost, packed up, and ran back home with their tails between their legs like the weak cowards they are?"
Jadeite turned around, looking for the source of the voice. He saw it. It had to be a Youma of some sort. Whatever it was, it seemed vulpine in it's looks, but its fur was patterened after a skunk's. And Jadeite realized that the thing didn't have a tail either. It wore a pair of pants that were like something out of a Kunk-Fu movie. It angered Jadeite that this Youma would take things so lightly. "YOUMA! How DARE you mock this situation!? Do you not realize we have LOST!?"
The 'Youma' raised an eyebrow. In the corner of Its eye, is saw a frosted piece of Beryl's black crystal ball. It picked it up and studied it as it spoke. "First of all, I am not a Youma. I am a Nogitsune."
Jadeite blinked. "N, Nogitsune? What the devil is THAT!?"
"A Nogitsune is a Kitsune without a tail or honor. But unlike other Kitsune adn Nogitsune, I have forgone my human host to become stronger" He then he'd the crystal up high, studying it against the light. "Second, my name is 'Claudius'..." Claudius then to looked to Jadeite. "And I'm here to offer you an opportunity of a lifetime..."
Jadeite watched this 'Caludius' carefully. "And what do you have to offer?"
Claudius seemingly smiled. An interesting feat, when you consider the fact he doesn't really have a mouth. "I offer you a chance to be a General of the Dark Edge Guard... And the chance to gain vengeance for your defeat at the hands of the Sailor Wimps."
This caught Jadeite's attention. "And how do you plan to help me accomplish that? And further more, WHY would you help me?"
Claudius looked at Jadeite. "Simple." Claudius said. "We have a common enemy. An enemy of mine is helping the Sailor Senshi. It is because of HER that the Senshi are now even more powerful. She has turned them into Lycanthrope."
"WHAT!?" Jadeite said.
"Oh yes." Claudius said. "And there are quite a few things you don't know about. They had become more powerful in the time you were imprisoned, and even more Senshi appeared. All of them have become Lycanthrope."
"ARE YOU JOKING!?" Jadeite asked.
"Not at all." Claudius explained. "Moon is now a Werelioness. Mercury is a Wererat. Sailor Pluto and your dear, dear Sailor Mars are Weretigresses. Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Jupiter are Werewolves. Sailor Venus and Sailor Uranus are Werecheetahs. Sailor Neptune is a Werejaguar. And Sailor Saturn is a Werepathress."
Jadeite looked ill. "You mean they've ALL been awaked?"
Caludius nodded his head. "Yes. But that doesn't have to be the end of it. You see, I myself want vengeance upon them. They have allied themselves with my enemy, Sheila of the Edge Guard. So I have decided to make you an offer. I will give you power, but in return, you must join my Dark Edge Guard AND destroy the Senshi!"
Jadeite stared at Claudius. He began to chuckle dangerously. "Sure! Why not? Let me at them! Give me the power to destroy the Senshi!!!"
"Then here. Accept this jewel shard. Claim your new power and become my new General!" Claudius said as he threw the Crystal shard that had been of Beryl's crystal ball.
Jadeite grabbed it, and roared in pain as the magic coursed through his body. He was surprised to feel his body changing. His body was changing, and fur was starting to cover his body."
Claudius chuckled. "Oh, I forgot to mention. I had stolen some items from the Wererat Clan's archive. They had the original spell parchments that detailed how to make Lycanthrope. Welcome to the club."
Jadeite blinked and looked down at himself. His uniform was repaired and was now a full black, whith gold trimming. He was slightly taller, though not by much, just having grown in height by a few inches. He moved his tails. He blinked. Tails? Yes. Two blonde-furred fox tails. "You made me into a Kitsune?"
Claudius shrugged. "And why not? You'll now have a bit mroe strength, your body will be more suited for stealth, and your magical energy reserves have been increased to incredible levels."
Jadeite blinked. So he was a Kitsune. For some reason, that didnm't bother him so much. If it mean he'd gain revenge, then why not? "So Claudius... Where do we begin?"
Claudius chuckled.
