“Dammit Akane!” A drenched Ranma Saotome sputtered as she jerked out of her wet futon.

“Morning to you too,” the girl responded brightly.

A wooden sign caught their attention. 'Boy, get your fiancée under control!' Both teenagers snorted. Before Ranma could form a more elaborate answer she was batted through the window, an angry panda right behind her.

The two clashed in the air above the garden and a cloud of smoke developed around them. It hid them from sight but the brutal onomatopoeias and the snarling faces with bulging veins that popped out regularly made it was obvious that they were locked in fierce combat.

The scene faded out and a chibi-Ranma Saotome appeared before it, his fist pumping in the air energetically. “Alright, what am I gonna do this week?”

A weekly schedule as tall as the super deformed character joined it, dividing each day in Morning, Afternoon, Evening slots and a number of colorful buttons and menus completed the picture.

Floating weightlessly before that display a perfectly proportioned Ranma grinned, proud as a peacock. A game about him made perfect sense! “Whoever decided to make this got impeccable taste, I'll give him that. But I'm gonna sue like a panda ravaging breakfast.”

The schedule was already filled, School occupying the two first slots from Monday to Friday and Saturday morning and everything else a combination of resting at home and go outside.

Ranma frowned, his eyes searching above. “See, if you put it like that then of course it sounds boring. You gotta mention the exciting stuff too.” Counting on his fingers, he started. “The daily Amazon ambushes, the pig showing up with some new trick up his sleeve, Principal Kuno brainwashing the students into haircutting zombies, the girls getting into trouble again and yours truly bailing them out, the random magical artifact popping out of nowhere... Now that sounds like my week.”

“Though I guess I don't actually plan for those things,” he added after a beat, scratching his chin. “Anyway, not much point in doing what I always do. What else's on the program?”

There were quite a lot actually. Or at least it looked that way because most of if was crossed out. The Training sub-category had martial arts, meditation, school (homework in the evening), cooking and housekeeping. In Work there was only Ucchan's and the Cat café. Those weren't even a tenth of the possible options but Ranma couldn't select anything else. Should he be proud at the implication of all that he could be or annoyed that he wasn't it yet?

He'd fix that he decided.

The other options were to rest, go out or travel. The last one proposed taking a vacation, going on a training trip, search for a cure or visiting a dungeon.

He'd seen it coming but he was still disappointed the only "cure" option was a trip to China and that the “dungeons” were Hourai, Ryugenzawa and Jusendo. “Gotta find out about other places before I can go there, I guess.”

The trips also cost money, a serious obstacle even for the cheap training trips. Game Ranma was as poor as the real one.

“Well, now I know what I'm doing,” Ranma said and replaced all the school slot with the Cat Café and the evenings with Ucchan's before pressing OK.

“Okay, this time too I'll do my best!” chibi-Ranma declared hotly.

The Tendo garden blurred into the Cat Café and Cologne greeted Ranma at the door with her creepy laugh. “Welcome Son-In... I mean Ranma-kun.”

“Hey, Old Ghoul,” the old woman's staff smashed on his head. “I mean, Manager,” the teenager corrected himself.

Cologne smiled. “Good boy. Now let's got on with it, there's work to be done.”

The scene faded out again and chibi-Ranma came back, preparing the Cat Café for the day. Moving tables, cleaning rooms, moving large bags of ingredients around and generally doing anything in restaurant that wasn't cooking. “I can't have you serve costumers like that,” a chibi Cologne before tossing a glass of water on him followed by a set of Shampoo's clothes. The redhead changed with a spin, her previous clothes vanishing. On cue costumers entered in the Café and Ranma was running around serving them. Above the scene playing out a tab appeared, Sociability +1 and waitressing LVL. 3 written above a bar that increased a little. The chibi theater ended quickly and Cologne gave him his salary with a “good work”.

“500 yen,” the real Ranma muttered. “Figures that even in a game the old Ghoul is a cheapskate.”

Things happened pretty much the same in the afternoon and in the evening at Ucchan's and Ranma finished the day 1400 yen richer.

Ukyo was even stingier that Cologne.
