Ranma watched as Akane walked away, leaving her in the basement. Once the other girl was gone, the shackled redhead sighed.
'What a pain.' She thought, stretching to see the extent of her movement. She nodded, satisfied she had enough.
The girl closed her ocean-colored eyes and breathed in deeply. She breathed out and with her breath, new raven-wings sprouted from her back.
Ranma winced from the feeling. 'Still strange.'
The winged-girl blinked a few times to get rid of the spots the transformation left in her eyes. 'Bloody wings.'
She hummed a small tune, one that was severely lessened in decibels from the gag. The shackles holding her suddenly loosened and fell from her body.
Pulling the gag from her mouth, and standing up, Ranma stretched again to get feeling back in her limbs.
'Time to finish this so I can get away.'
No one knew. No one knew the truth about Ranma's new form. They all thought the second spring was the raven spring. Even the guide thought that. After all, he'd never seen anyone else fall in it, and out comes this girl with raven wings. It made sense.
But it wasn't true.
The night before they reached the Brothel, a 'woman' met Ranma in her dreams. The 'woman' called 'herself' Leliel. And the 'woman', was an angel.
The glowing white wings, the fluttering wind, and even the halo, the 'woman' was a true angel.
Ranma had at first thought it was a dream, but Leliel had said it was in fact a vision.
The spring she had fallen in was the only spring in that whole accursed place to have a holy being drowned in it.
An arch-angel. An angel of War.
The raven-wings were what set the arch-angels from the normal, guardian angels. Something about how God wanted them to fly faster, and the raven-like-wings were better than the others.
The reason there existed a spring at all was because an arch-angel had fought above the springs with an Asura, and both had fallen to their deaths.
The arch-angel looked male, and with the girl-spring, Ranma should have been a hermaphrodite, but the thing was... Angels were sexless, and it was only because of the girl-spring that she was a she.
But in her vision, Leliel had told her she was to become a new arch-angel, and her first matter of business was to stop a human who thought she could control humans with Geis, and that was not allowed. It removed human's free will, and therefore, went against the word of god.
The angel had told her she had to stop the woman, kill her if need be. Only when truly needed would her strength be given, but if she truly needed to before then, she had words of magic.
That was what she used now to rid herself of her shackles.
Ranma held none of her angelic powers in male form, so she was forced to stay female for the time being. She didn't get rid of the Geis yet, for her enemy would think she was still under her control. And the not-changing Geis... Hot water seemed to find her at such inconvenient times.
The girl stretched her wings and waited for her 'Mistress' to return. And once she did, she'd face the Reckoning of Heaven.
