Naruto in Azeroth: Cutting a Swath, Part Two [Episode 259173]

by Sapphire Cat

Once they hit the city every girl went off to their class trainers, each with her own Naruto clone along for protection and companionship. The raid stayed with him, so there were honest safety concerns about the girls being off alone, in the boy's mind. It was still a strange, new world and anything could happen.

Like running into the boy selling kittens again, practically tripping over him, in fact.

Getting up and rubbing his head, thankful his frost armor had kept him from getting popped by the brief stumble, the Naruto clone asked, "Hey, Hinata? Can I get you a kitten?"

The girl glowed, eyes shining with gratitude of his appreciation of her feelings like this.

That kitten swiftly became one of the most important symbols of happiness in her entire life, and she would carry it with her everywhere.

Shion was quite surprised to meet the Hunter trainer back at Stormwind and see he had quite a bit to teach her, as she had been running on Priestess spells and simple weapon skills until that time. He also wanted her to go up to dwarf territory so she could obtain the ability to catch and train pets, which had her heartfelt approval.

So they all split up briefly, each with their own accompanying Naruto clone, to go on independent class missions like that, as it turned out they all had some, including some pretty important ones.

Naruto was disappointed his only official quest was just to speak with Jennea and bring her a water sample. Those others sounded so interesting! Still, he formed a small, secret smile. There was nothing stopping him from sending clones along with the girls to partake in the fun, was there?

Making sure their Hearthstones were all set to Stormwind, members of the raid kindly set each girl and her clone escort on their way via portals, thinking nothing of it.

"You know," Circe patted Naruto on his shoulder. "Now might be a good time to learn some Professions, so you'll have gifts to give those pretty girls when they come back. They are important to you, aren't they?"

Arriving via Portal to Darnassus, and seeking out some guy who walked bears for a living (was that like walking dogs? Did that make him like an Inuzuka?) Hinata and Naruto paid for the guy cast all sorts of teaching spells over them, vastly increasing their available repetoire of Druidic abilities.

He also gave them one for a freebie, shocking Hinata, when he cast a spell teaching them to teleport. She gave the boy beside her a shy look and pressed her fingers together, blushing, as teleporting was something she'd thought only Naruto would learn to do. Their teleport was only to one specific place, a special Druid place, but still now they had this special something to share!

She fainted, causing Naruto's clone a brief panic before they could teleport to Moonglade together.

Haku accepted the Earth Crystal, bowing respectfully. "Thank you, spirit. I shall endeavor to give this token the respect it deserves as the heart of my new Earth Totem."

"Uh, yeah. What she said," Naruto bowed beside her, clutching his own crystal.

Haku hid a wince. Perhaps a short tutoring session was in order before they went to meet the fire spirit?

Shion cheered when she first used the item thingy to command her first wild animal. Just think! Soon she'd be able charm animals without a magic tool doing the work for her! Then she could build up a stable of adorable pets to take with her back to lonely Demon Country!

"Come on, Naruto! Let's return these to the mission guy!"

Hinata was then stunned speechless when they rounded and giant tree trunk and stood before the Great Bear Spirit.

"Awesome!" Naruto jumped up and pumped a first.

"Here," Temari was short and terse as she handed the Symbol of Life back to the Priest at the altar, Naruto beside her, both receiving the promised training spells, before she walked stiffly out to the cathedral steps, then finally sat down heavily and had to pant back the terror - that she'd just raised the frikking dead! Not only that, they'd taught her a spell to do the same any time she wanted!

That just seemed like a bit much to take in.

Her Naruto clone companion, who'd been through the whole test with her, sat with her in distress, not knowing what to do, until Circe kindly suggested Naruto could be sitting next to her rubbing circles on her back.

The boy did, and it seemed to help.

Buying her a white kitten did as well.

"Hello, Haku Yukino, Naruto Uzumaki, I have been expecting you. I trust this day finds you well?"

Haku bowed, offering the ashes that she had received from a previous mission, accepted her fire totem in return with calm equanimity.

Beside her, Naruto managed to do exactly the same without shouting for once.

"Growf?"

She was a bear.

Somehow, in spite of everything, Hinata had not been prepared to be this... furry. But an even greater shock was that bear-Naruto got a glint of mischief in his eyes and took this opportunity to lick the side of her face.

Her lavender eyes grew round in fear at the magnitude of her feelings over that. It just seemed too much to take in.

She passed out happy.

Naruto crossed his arms in frustration as his raid bickered and argued over which were the best Professions. Ask twenty five people a simple question, get back fifty different answers!

With a sigh, he formed a simple hand seal. He'd send clones off to all of the various profession trainers and get their opinions. Those guys ought to at least be able to tell him what their professions did, right?
