Mischief Fragment - Videogame: Enhanced Life Form [Episode 259844]

Orochimaru looked around the various chalkboards, whiteboards, and even the walls. The results were disappointing, but as he'd been told long ago - math didn't lie. It could mislead you, sure. It could have hidden errors, or it could have some result that was misinterpreted. It didn't lie though.

Doctor Hossenfeffer's chain jingled across the ground as he looked over things, finally the aged genetics expert sighed. "No errors I can find. You'll need more than just the Hashirama cells, you'll need something of his essence and chakra as well."

"The greatest working of a jutsu since the days of the Sage Of Six Paths," said Orochimaru. "No. With this I would surpass even that myth and bring forth new legends! And I can't use it to enhance my own troops."

"Well, you could, but the results would be skewed," said Hosenfeffer, moving around and then pointing at a section. "See, you could get things stable by using a substitute for the Hashirama section here and lowering this animorphic field here. Using a value of one-quarter or one-eighth would hit the stability point."

Orochimaru blinked, then craned his neck as he examined the additions Hosenfeffer was writing on the side. Yes. Yes. That does indeed balance out. The result would would not make for a suitable host-body, but it would make for a slightly enhanced grunt soldier. Even better than the Curse Seal in that there would be no chakra cost to maintain it due to the condition being normal.

"Yes, the result would be shifting things about a bit," said Hosenfeffer as he continued to take his equations out to their conclusion. "Stronger, better stamina, somewhat tougher, but more prone to emotional excesses I'd think."

"I'll have to test this," said Orochimaru. "You've earned another day of life, Professor. Enjoy it." What to call this. Not the Enhanced Life Form, that would be the full strength version. Maybe... Orochimaru's Race, Common Grunt Type? Original Racial Conscript? Hmmm. ORC. Yes, Orc. That'll do until I come up with something better.

Fu of Takigakure had been present with a number of others from her village, part of Operation Snake Hunt, when she'd heard all the excitement and had decided to get involved.

She'd captured one of the Kage Bunshin and managed to get into a long and involved discussion with him.

Now here she was, clutching in her hand a brochure explaining the rules of competition and a slip of paper that indicated she was one of the winners.

All she knew for sure was that there were people back in Takigakure that were going to be very unhappy about this.

"You're just going to throw it away?!" asked Atsui.

"Why keep it, he's an Academy student of Konoha. Probably never see him again," said Samui.

"You got youthened to nearly his age," pointed out Atsui. "And it's an excuse to come visit this overly humid village that is already approved of by their leaders."

"It's unlikely I could use this as a pretense to spy," said Samui, who stopped walking away from the trashcan anyway.

"Look, just keep the option around," said Atsui. "Let Ay make the final decision on that stuff."

"You keeping that, Kurotsuchi?"

"Yeah. Maybe I can sell it later. Kid looks too much like that damn Yellow Flash to be comfortable around."

"Too bad the Yellow Flash didn't have a kid. Can you imagine being able to steal the kid away and tie him to Iwa? That'd be even better as revenge than just killing him."

"Nah. Simple and direct is more my style," said Kurotsuchi. "Though taking a resource of theirs and making it our own does have a certain appeal."

"What a pain."

"You can say that again, Shika."

"Nah, too troublesome."

"Settle down, everyone," said Mizuki, entering the room. "Time for the team assignments!"
