Ranma was absolutely surrounded by several layers of wet, nude and willing femininity. The only physical way out of this womb of girls would mean using extreme martial arts techniques. They would be hurt. Ranma did not hurt girls. That left only the psychological escape route.
Fear exists to protect. What was threatened was Ranma's sense of manliness. So to protect Ranma's masculinity, fear removed it.
“Kawaii!” Ranma squealed, coming out from underneath the great masculine weight. The male part of 'her' had run screaming off to same safe recess of his—no, their brain, leaving 'her' all alone to face--
Fear has a logic. But that logic is not logical. To protect Ranma from becoming psychologically a girl, Ranma became psychologically a girl!
“Girls!” Ranma cried. “You're acting sooo unkawaii!!” The only male voice got some attention, but there were just many voices going at once for anyone to really understand anyone, even themselves. “GIRLS!! Listen to mmm--” Soft, full, glossy lips were on hers, trying to get her tongue into 'her' mouth.
Ranma broke 'her' lips free. “No!!” 'she' was so put-off she twisted violently away. She bumped into another girl; who bumped into another girl; who bumped into...
Ranma got a flash of trained inspiration. They were in a deep enough part of the pool-sized bathtub for them to be buoyant. As the girls insisted on holding onto 'her', she twisted and turned 'her' quite male body, building up momentum. The maids held on even tighter, as with each change of motion, centrifugal force was threatening to pull each this way-then that way away from Master. And girls float more than guys! Ranma was glad for the moment 'she' had the denser—male –body. Once 'she' could feel it was the right time, 'she'–using all of 'her' male strength– went “Full Spin Cycle!”
The maids on the outside of the phalanx of a hundred maids rushed to get out of the way as the maids closer to Ranma were turned into a human waterspout. One-by-one nude girls from it lost their holds and were sent off to splash among the bubbles of the Olympic bathtub. Then girls by the twos, then the fours, then...
The girls were still spinning in the bathwater as Ranma ducked beneath the surface and found 'her' way beneath them. 'She' didn't come up until 'she' was at the edge of the pool.
“Water! Have to find cold water!” 'she' screamed, rushing for Kasumi and her showerhead.
