Frigga - cooking skills.
Tyr - sword skills
Thor - boost to physical development
Baldr - boost to overall charisma and attractiveness
Njordur - hunting and fishing skill.
Of course, in order to master those sword skills - he had to practice those manuevers. Heavy training was mandated. Also, he had to have a sword.
Tyr provided one he thought was suitable, apparently having more than one in his possession. Verum, of a type known as a gladius. Picked up on a battlefield where heroes clashed. Silvered edge with blackened center.
Most sword-wielders in Konohagakure used a ninjato or a longsword. Verum was a bit different, point heavy.
He noticed the odd marks in the black section shifted colors every so often. Naruto wasn't sure what that meant.
He was taller, slightly more bulky, and his clothes didn't fit right. A change of wardrobe had been necessary.
So he was practicing, using the gladius as he swung it through the various basic attacks and defense patterns. In different clothes that included armored sections.
Sakura thought he was using a henge and doing something stupid. The usual sort of stupid.
Sasuke had checked with his Sharingan, which is how he knew that Naruto was NOT using a henge. Somehow, in the space of a few hours at most, Naruto had gained five centimeters in height and at least four kilograms of muscle. Now, the very next day, Naruto was twelve centimeters taller and had gained nine kilograms - mainly the arms and upper body.
Kakashi had also used the Sharingan and come to the same conclusions.
"Where did you get that sword anyway?" asked Kakashi.
"Gift," said Naruto.
Sasuke frowned as Naruto was able to strike off a divot from the training post. Why did NARUTO get sudden boosts to his performance while HE had the driving need for strength?
"Did something happen at the Uzumaki Mask Shrine yesterday that I should know about?" asked Kakashi.
"Gotta get a lot stronger, Kakashi-sensei," said Naruto. "I got people to protect. I got a dream to follow. I got to prove myself."
"You got to get work on your vocabulary," stated Sakura.
"Meh," said Naruto.
"In any case, there's something you three need to decide," said Kakashi, holding up three applications for the Chunin Exams.
