Naruto stopped and considered that one as he practiced the sigils, runic invocations of forces. Probably wouldn't work against the Kyubi. Probably.
Að fá stúlku for love from woman to a man.
Naruto, age thirteen, soon to be applicant to the Chunin Exams - considered that one as well. Would it help him with Sakura? Probably not. In fact, he rather imagined that using it around Sakura would probably attract her fist to his head. Best to keep even the existence of that one secret.
Paper tags turned out to be a bit flimsy for the raw power that ended up being contained in these. Metal arrowheads were small but could apparently handle the forces. He'd had to use a disguise to afford the little magnifier-glasses from a toymaker and the other equipment, but now he could put the stuff on an arrowhead and fire them off with a reasonable accuracy.
Hermod's bow was not a normal bow, of course.
"Well, Naruto, let's see what this new fuuinjutsu of yours can do," said Kakashi, observing as he WAS Naruto's sensei.
Thunk!
Kakashi looked at the target with the slightly glowing arrow sticking out of it. "Well, that wasn't very-"
Naruto snapped his fingers.
The training post, a half-meter thick log, was abruptly covered in chains.
"Okay," admitted Kakashi. "I could see a use for that. What else do you have?"
"You saw the 'Fire' and 'Quench' arrows," said Naruto. "That was 'Bind.' I'm still working on the 'Barrier' and 'Signal' arrows. No time to test them yet. Also working on sealing supplies."
"Sounds like you're busy," said Kakashi.
"Shadow clones. Did you know that memories from one come back to me when they dispel?" asked Naruto.
"I seem to remember something along that nature," admitted Kakashi.
"I'm also working on other skills," said Naruto with a shrug. "So. Any idea what these exams involve? Anything I should brush up on?"
"Everything and anything, Naruto," said Kakashi.
The mask was a bit worn and in plain view. If one discounted that one had to lift up the sink in order to reveal the secret compartment that could be slid out if you twisted the sealing ring on the drain pipe just so. But if you did that it was really right there where just anyone could see it.
"This has to be it," said Sasuke as he took the mask from beneath Naruto's kitchen sink. His mother had kept a few things hidden away there - though he'd only discovered that after everyone had died.
"A mask?" asked Sakura. "He took one from that shrine?"
"Looks like it," said Sasuke. "You sure he won't be back soon?"
"Positive," said Sakura. "He never finishes at Ichiraku's in less than an hour."
Sasuke nodded, examining the mask, then looking at the inside. There was a fuuinjutsu seal there - but what it did he wasn't clear on. "Look familiar to you?"
"No, it looks almost like some of those weird fuuinjutsu he's been doing lately," said Sakura. "All straight lines here, curves around the edges."
"There's one here that looks like barbed wire," noted Sasuke as he looked into the hidden drawer.
"Weird," mused Sakura as her eyes went over the mask's fuuinjutsu and tried to decipher some meaning from the marks.
