SNAFU/Amnesiac Ranma-chan: Art of the Shrine Maiden [Episode 26625]

by Kestral

Sif had spent the last three days at the shrine just helping out while waiting for something to jar her memory. She had not been even vaguely surprised at the presence of Banpei. When Urd had attempted to use magic to clean up a spill, Sif's reaction had been more "neat! Can I learn that?"

So, as they were living in a temple anyway, having a shrine priestess didn't seem that offbase and allowed Sif to feel as if she were contributing something.

She turned out to be not that good as an artist, but her perky enthusiasm kept her going past such minor trials as painting shrine plaques to sell.

She was also listening to the three goddesses and trying to figure out which style best fit her own.

Urd used potions and alchemy for the most part. While there seemed to be some familiarity there, Sif wasn't sure it was for her.

Skuld used machines. While they were kind of neat, Sif didn't think this fit her at all. She wasn't one to sit back and direct, if she was going to do something - she'd go ahead and get her hands dirty doing it.

Belldandy used incantations and the power that was hers as a Goddess First Class. Sif might have been adopted by two deities, and spend time with three more, but she just didn't have those kinds of connections.

There were a few ideas floating about as to what she could do.

There were many things about being a woman that Sif did not know.

Which perhaps was part of the reason that the shape she took after being splashed by hot water scared her. There was something sad and terrified and unhappy when she looked at the boy that she became, and hurried to take her "real form" as soon as she could.

The shrine maiden red skirt/white top combo looked good on her, and Sif was more than eager to take up the duties.

Meanwhile, Urd had viewed Sif's past and was torn.

On the one hand, Sif was a good deal happier and better adjusted as Sif. She wasn't as driven to being the best martial artist, but she was still good and had recently discovered that just doing the kata was neither violent or barbaric - she turned them into a fluid dance that spoke more of joy in an Art than in conflict.

On the other hand, eventually Ranma had to return. It was neither fair to kill Sif for Ranma's sake, nor kill Ranma for Sif's sake. They were different sides of the same person, the same soul.

Easier to put it off for the moment and focus instead on Sif's magical training.

After some deliberation, Urd decided that the shrine maiden of the Three Fates temple should practice:
