As Jesse stood in there in the trance that Ash's Mezmur had placed her under, there was noise off to one side. Soon, the seventeen year old Misty walked into sight. "Ash, what are you doing?" She said as she turned to look at the female Rocket member sitting there in a trance. Misty stared at the figure that was standing there. "What is she doing here? And where are the other two pains in the neck? They usually are together."
Then she turned to Ash and noticed his new Pokemon. The strange it was a light violet-white with a purple crystal on it's head. The Pokemon was looking at Misty with it's violet eyes. "Is that a new Pokemon? Is that why Jesse is standing there? Because of some kind of new attack that Pokemon has?"
Ash smiled and thought quickly. Mezmur was picking up his thoughts and was getting ready for action. "Yes, Jesse was trying to steal Pikachu and my new Mezmur. But I managed to stop her with one of the new attacks that this kind of Pokemon has. It's called a Mesmerizing attack!" With those words, Mezmur's eyes and crystals started to glow as Misty looked at the Pokemon. Her eyes became more glassy as she looked at the hypnotic Pokemon.
"Looks like I got lucky. Three caught within an hour. Now to take my prize." Ash thought as he connected with the mind of his new psychic Pokemon. Attacks flooded his mind as he saw what to do next. "Mezmur, use Attract on both Jesse and Misty."
Mezmur started to glow again as little glowing hearts purple hearts floated to the two women. These hearts hit Misty and Jesse. There was a purple glow as the two of them shivered and sighed, like something pleasant had happened to them. Even in their trance state, they smiled at Ash.
While they were being hit with the Attract attack, Ash was thinking of what to do next. Misty was okay, but Jesse's normal personality was that of a real witch. "Mezmur, is there anything that we can do to make Jesse less... mean than she is normally." The Pokemon stood as it thought, the images started to flood the mind of Pokemon master in training.
Jesse had a cruel side that was dominant over most of her personality. That mixed with her greed and selfishness made her the criminal that she was. But there were other elements of her personality that were not as dominant, that were weaker than her darker impulses. A caring, selfless side of her that occasionally came out to those that she cared about.
But Mezmur shows that it could make the good parts of Jesse's personality become more dominate over the nastier side of her personality. With a nod from Ash, Mezmur completed the psychic surgery. Soon the old Jesse was history and a new one was waiting to be awaken.
