Some groups of women, quite naturally, got hit more often than others. It wasn’t an easy mix of ‘bishoujo’ and ‘senshi’ that made up a good Sailor Senshi, after all; some had the courage and strength, while others had the incredible feminine grace and beauty required. A few groups proved to have the best combination of both.
Futaba Aoi walked in to the Bokutou Precinct station, her face positively beaming. Her fuku looked like a stylized version of the police uniform; in fact, the differences were only cosmetic, such as a smaller, flared-out skirt or the higher heel. She’d walked for a bit in them, and they’d seemed even more comfortable than the flats she usually wore, so she wasn’t about to complain.
Not that she would have anyway. Somehow, this was a dream come true. When she’d studied so hard to become feminine, so long ago, magical girl manga and anime had featured prominently; in many of her dreams since, she’d imagined herself among their number, joining forces with the heroes of her second life.
Now... now she was one of them. “Sailor Aoi”, she thought to herself, and smiled. Fitting for a police officer to be referred to by last name. About the only way this could be better was if -
“Hey, Sailor Aoi! Get over here!”
Her eyes widened as she looked over the trio waiting for her. Sailors Kobayakawa, Tsujimoto, and Nikaido were all waiting for her! This was great! Not only had she changed into a Sailor Senshi overnight, she was part of her own team!
She positively squealed as she jumped into their group. “Hello! Isn’t this great? We’re magical girls!”
Sailor Kobayakawa blushed. “I guess... but I feel so self-conscious in this! I... I don’t want to show off everything...”
Sailor Tsujimoto put her arm around Kobayakawa’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, Sailor K. One look from Officer Ken will make it all worth it...” Tsujimoto looked around. “Where is he, anyway?”
Sailor Nikaido frowned. “One of the guys said he called in sick... I wonder what’s wrong with him?”
Sailor Kobayakawa demurely put a fist to her cheek. “Oh, dear... I should bring him some soup after awhile to see if he’s all right...”
Sailor Tsujimoto grinned. “Later.” She put her hands on her hips. “I want to see what we can do like this!”
Sailor Aoi ran after the trio as they made their way to the garage. Day one as a Sailor Senshi; could life get any better?

Keiichi knew what it was like to be female - sort of, anyway. She had been female for all of five minutes once, after ingesting some of Urd’s potions. She knew a little more about breasts; those had stayed on her for a few weeks after that incident. Still, she had no complaints about what happened then; without that ‘accident’, Troubadour might have made mincemeat out of him.
There was no Troubadour this time around - but, for some reason, she was female again.
Keiichi stared oddly at the mirror in front of her. The outfit reminded her of Belldandy’s outfit, the day when they’d first met, except this one was... shorter. It apparently consisted of a white bathing suit/bodysuit with a blue sailor collar with a yellow trim pattern on it - exactly like the one on Belldandy’s ‘heaven dress’. The skirt was of the same pattern; blue, with the same yellow buzzsaw pattern. A pink-almost-white underskirt flared out beneath it, giving a touch of frill. The gloves and shoes, however, were different - the blue gloves were opera-style, with a pink trim, and pink ankle boots had replaced the ankle-wraps that Bell had worn. Even the jewelry was reminiscent of Bell’s; her ears were pierced multiple times, culminating in the hoop-earrings Bell wore, and the jewel brooch holding the bow in place was just like the one Bell wore in the center of her outfit.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the most disturbing aspect of all this. She could deal with being a girl. She didn't know if she could deal with the marks on her forehead. The slim diamond split her forehead in two; by her cheekbones, a pair of triangles sat under the edges of her eyes. If it weren't for her still-short black hair, she'd be a dead ringer for her girlfriend.
She wasn’t sure who was responsible for this, but she hoped it would get fixed soon. Behind her, she could hear an argument progressing. Seemed that Skuld had foreseen this happening (was this her fault?) and had tried to get the two of them apart for precisely this reason. Belldandy countered, ever-so-calmly, that it didn’t matter, that Keiichi was still Keiichi, even if she was a Sailor Senshi.
Keiichi stopped at this, and blinked; unwittingly, two words floated to the forefront of her mind. “Sailor Heaven?” she whispered.

“Sensei! Sensei...!”
Some people just didn’t appreciate the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other and running.
Fuuko Kuzuha ran like she’d never done it before in her life - which was almost true. By her normal rekoning, she should have tripped about a quarter-mile ago. Instead, every step landed perfectly; she felt as though she were dancing on air, not concrete.
She wondered if she was going to wake up soon. She wasn’t just Sailor Innocence, wasn’t just a warrior for love and justice. She was so much more, now... she could run and jump and do all the things she could barely do before - and couldn’t do at all before Hibiki-sensei came.
And Hibiki-sensei had changed, too. She’d heard from the lady who ran the school store that Hibiki-sensei was a Senshi, too, but wasn’t taking it well. She’d thought about staying in class, but couldn’t bear the thought of Hibiki-sensei hurting, so...
She really didn’t think it was cutting class if it was to find the teacher.
She found Hibiki-sensei in that place where those perverted men lived; the two still there sported fresh injuries of some type, probably from trying something fresh with Hibiki-sensei, no doubt. Finally, she came to the right room, and found...
It seemed an odd thing to see a Senshi crying, but Hibiki-sensei was - in uncontrollable jags. Her purple-and-yellow fuku shook with each sob; that chest Fuuko envied heaved and trembled as she cried. Fuuko frowned; was being a Sailor Senshi such a bad thing for her? She reached out and touched a hand to Hibiki-sensei’s shoulder; she was about to speak her name, when another came to mind. “Sailor Love?”
Hibiki-sensei turned around, startled, then wiped the tears from her eyes. “Ku... no, Sailor Innocence,” she breathed. She wiped her eyes quickly, then hiccuped. “Shouldn’t you be in class?”
“Does it hurt so much to be changed into a Sailor Senshi?” An innocent question, she realized; then again, it fit who she was, now.
“But this... this isn’t me,” she replied.
Fuuko winced at the look in Hibiki-sensei’s eyes; her heart twinged just looking at it. “Are you sure? It seems like you’re more you than you were...”
The comment hit home; she took another deep breath. “But... but...” Her breath calmed down. “I... I’m scared...”
Sailor Innocence wrapped her arms around Sensei’s neck. “I’m a Senshi, too, Sensei. I... I’m scared of the evil things we’re going to have to fight, too.” She increased her grip slightly. “I don’t want to fight them alone, Sensei...”
Something about the words resonated within Hibiki-sensei. She straightened up; for the first time, she looked like the teacher she knew. “You won’t have to, Kuzuha. You won’t have to.” She eased herself out of Innocence’s grip, and stood up. “I guess it’s time for us to go to class, huh?”
Sailor Innocence smiled. Somehow, she felt that class would never be the same again...
