And when Gothwrain is silent... You can tell that's NOT a good sigh...
The Lord High Elder of the wererat clan twirled the cigar in his hand. Raising it to his lips, he took another puff of the Cuban tobacco. Letting out the puff of smoke from his lungs, Gothwrain chuckled lightly. "You three... Oh you three have been quite an annoyance to me these past couple of months..."
Lydia then spoke up slightly. "But Lord High Elder Gothwrain, we didn't mean..." The words died on her mouth as two of Gothwrain's gaurds raised their guns.
Gothwrain studied his cigar for a moment then put it back into his mouth. Not even looking at the three as he spoke, holding up his hand with one finger up. "First, you fail your first mission. You had gotten the collar on the werecheetah, but they somehow managed to take it off her."
A second raised finger joined the first on Gothwrain's hand. "Second, you smuggle money out of Zero's bank account, money that was to pay for the training he gave you!"
"But sir, we figured that-" Lydia froze. She felt a gun to the back of her head.
Raising a third finger, Gothwrain said, "Third, you failed the mission to repay Zero. Instead of getting the gold from the Leprechauns, you managed to get captured and palced in a rat cage for five whole months..."
Gothwrain puffed on his cigar harshly and raised four fingers. "Then, without my direct consent, you seem to go off and make a new wererat. And then you go after a wererat you think is a 'Deserter', who then turns out to be Sailor Mercury!?"
Feeling the guard press the gun into her head harder, Lydia took this as the signal to start spilling her guts. "Yes, Lord High Elder Gothwrain! We saw some little $%#@ wererat leave the $%#&in' Tendo Dojo in Nerima! We followed her, and we were attacked by some wererat mage with %@$#in' water powers or somethin'!"
This caught Gothwrain's attention. "Water powers?"
"Yeah! %$#@in' water-elemental magic or somethin'!" Lydia answered quickly.
Gothwrain nodded is head. "Interesting. Continue."
"Yeah," Lydia said, "We tried to fight off this wererat, and then the other female wererat we went after, who was his daughter got into the fight with us. As i pulled my silver dagger out to fight with it, and it's possessed by some sort of seed-thing."
Gothwrain stared at Lydia. "A 'seed thing'?" "Yeah! It turned my silver dagger into a monster made of silver, and that's when we high-tailed it outta there! We didn't want to get killed." Lydia explained.
Gothwrain nodded his head. He took a deep puff from his cigar and blew the smoke into Lydia's face, making the wererat cough. "You know, Miss McKraken, I have tried to be patient, but I have begun to lose it. However, what you just told me has made me curious. Just where did you see this male wererat mage?"
"Juuban! The Juuban prefecture in Tokyo!" Lydia answered quickly.
A small smile crept up onto Gothwrain's face. "Hikaru..."
