Imagine that said robot has an outer shell that strongly resembles a suit of superdeformed platemail complete with helmet, gauntlets, and shiny metal boots.
Paint that little bot a bright orange and white all over with some dashes of black and green to add variety. Add two large puppy dog eyes and a squeaky voice of indeterminate gender.
Now think about how it would feel if said robot ran into you at roughly 40 mph.
*Crash*
"Ouch!"
Aren't you glad you're not in Ranma's shoes at the moment?
"Hey! What's the big idea you...what the heck are you anyway?"
Ranma had seen some strange things before. But robots were new to him.
"No time to explain! She's coming! Our only chance is to unite!"
"Huh?"
"Repeat after me! Iczel, charging up!"
