There were many who held souls empty enough to catch the attention of that spark... but there was one who stood out like a beacon. For this one... a child, really... not only already had power, but her souls was nearly devoid of anything.
The spark tested the waters, so to speak, and found the human perfect! A quick scan of her memories showed why. Her parents, killed by Darkstalkers after her power. Outcast and feared by the humans for those self-same powers. And the only one who could take her in...
Well, he was a madman, so bound and determined to deny what he himself was that he had dedicated his life to destroying anything that reminded him of his own heritage. A man who was, at best, cold and distant. Not much solace for an emotionally scarred child.
The spark of Entropy slipped into her body, and found no resistance as it merged with her.
She only gave a quick gasp to this, and dropped her headless doll. And then, for the first time since she was orphaned... she smiled. A smile not of warmth, but of at least a purpose.
