Megumi awoke to the sounds of laughter...of the most hideous and foul kind. She stood up and looked in the direction the laughter was coming from and was immediatly horrified!...
"Keiichi!!!" gasped Megumi, wide-eyed....
"Oh, my!" shrieked Belldandy, eyes agog....
Everybody in the room backed away from Keiichi, whose glowing red eyes shone from the shadows that suddenly encompassed him and part of the room....
"HAHAHAHA!...Senbei is responsible for this debacle!" growled Keiichi in a deep, throaty chuckle that chorused through the air. "By extension, Mara, you are also culpable as well!...." Keiichi walked toward Mara slowly with undeniable homicidal intent....
"Halt there, Keiichi" warned Urd, raising her hands toward him. She opened herself up to her vast stores of thaumaturgical energy, ready to unleash them from her fingertips in order to stop Keiichi from attacking Mara and found nothing to draw upon!!! "Whatthe?--MY POWERS!" she exlcaimed, her eyes big and quivering with terror!...
"Your markings..." amended Skuld panickedly from one side of the room, "they're gone!"
"Brother....No!" yelled Megumi in protest. She stood defiantly in front of a fearfully bewildered Mara with her arms out wide and a furiously determined look on her face--her goddess markings glowing brightly against the oncoming darkness....
