Sakura had just arrive from Air Japan in the San Francisco. She sat down in the corner to wait for her cousin Tohru. She also wanted to talked to her guardian beast, Kerberos.
"So were here. I never been to America before. So when does your cousin get here?" Asked the teddy bear-like diguise form of the great Guardian Beast of the Seal.
"Soon, I hope." Sakura said as she thought of what had brought her here today.
It had started simple enough. She was having a picnic with her friends when a strange man appeared in a cloud of dark smoke. He was an old man with white hair and eyes of two different colors. He wore black and blue.
"Hand over the Clow Cards now, and you might live." The old man had said.
"Stand back." Li Shaoron said as her friend pulled out his cerimonial sword to cast his spells. The old man called out three words and three strange men with orange skin and black eyes appeared.
The battle had taken a while as Li and her other friend Eriol tried to take all of the orange skinned men as Sakura had to face the old man. She had called upon the power of the element cards to hold and bind the old man. It seemed pretty even matched until Eriol and Li Finished with the Orange Skinned men and turned their attention to the old man. "I'll be back for the cards." The old man had said, before he disappeared.
She then notice that fact that Li had been injuried by the strange warriors. After rushing to the hospital, they had learned that he had bruised his ribs and that he would need to take it easy for a while.
That's when she had looked for some more help. And someplace to go where her friends weren't in danger. Touya told her of their second cousin on their father's side who was training under a powerful Chi Master. So with his help, she had talked her father in to letting her travel to the U.S. And that brought her here.
