"ACE!" Penny cried out in shocl. "Oh, Ace, please, don't be mad. This was all a very bad mix-up."
Luckilly for Penny, Kevin 'Ace' Koss really was an 'Ace' when it came to his work. He was incredibly calm behind the stick of a airplane, even in the most stressful, (read as "life threatening") scenarios, Ace was able to stay cool and get himself out alive.
So using all skill and experience gained from keeping his cool while in such feats of peril and amazement, Ace closed his eyes and breathed deeply.
"Ace?" Penny asked fearfully.
Letting out a deep breath, Ace calmly asked, "Penny. We've been through a lot. And I mean A LOT. I know you care for me deeply... And I know I care deeply for you. I know neither of us would throw away what we have. So tell me, exatly WHAT happened!? Why are you werepanthers!?"
Coughing into her hand to get Ace's attention, Gina then spoke. "This started a few days ago, Ace. You see, while my family and I were in Japan for business reasons, we had stopped at a bar to have some fun. The Edge Guard were on vacation and we took them there too. Everyone basically was having a good time."
Ace nodded. "Go on."
With a sigh, Gina said, "But apparently, two men had a plan that woul ensnare their children into marriage. A Lust Dust. The two planned to make their kids horny and screw each other, so they could bully them into marriage."
His eyes widening, Ace asked, "HUH!?"
"Yes." Gina answered. "But their plan failed. The artifact they had that was filled with Lust Dust did not just hit those two. Some little old man came in and threw it at the ceiling. It literally exploded as it hit the ceiling fan and sent the Lust Dust flying all over..."
Ace winced. "Let me guess. Orgy, right?"
Quite a few people nodded.
Sighing, Ace asked, "Still, that doesn't explain how you all became weres. I understand Penny sneezed into a sample when you brought it here, but HOW are you all weres?"
Penny looked to Gina. Shereally did not know the situation, and neded her friend to explain.
Gina sighed. "Apparently, the Lust Dust works as a spell effect. It's made to make people incredibly horny. But it can also ampliphy itself by 'leeching' off other magic that may be afflicting a person, such as an enchantment, a curse, a blessing, or even wards..."
Ace winced. "And when it fed on the weres' wards, the wards were almost non-existant during the sex, right?"
All gathered nodded.
Sighing, Ace asked, "Still, how did Gina become a werepanthress? Who did she sleep with that was a werepanther."
"Thropan," Gina answered, "One of the visiting/vacationing members of Jade's Northern Edge Guard."
Penny gulped lightly, trying to gather her nerve. "I hope you can forgive me, Ace. It was an accident."
After amoment of serious thought, Ace sighed and said, "Well, I guess I can let this slide... I mean, I know I've made my own screw-ups... And I know this was just a one-time thing with you and Gina..." He gazed a bit sternly at his girlfriend-turned-werepanthress, "Right?"
Nodding her head rapidly, Penny said, "OF COURSE!"
Artemis, who had noticed Ace drop the small black box, walked over to it and sniffed it as the others were talking. "Hey, 'Ace'. What's in the box?"
Ace paled. "Oh, you see, that's-"
Penny interrupted. "Wait! That box has a Tiffany's logo!"
Britanny smirked. "One of my favorite places to shop, might I say!"
Ace blushed. Glaring at Artemis slightly, Ace picked the box up. "Look, I wanted to keep this a surprise for later, but," Ace stood on one knee before Penny, "Penny Pinscer. I know we've talked about this a lot. And I think I'm finally ready. Would you please marry me?" Ace opened the small box to reveal the diamond ring on a platinum band.
Everyone stared at Penny and Ace for a moment. Penny was shocked, but her eyes soon sparkled from slight tears and a smile was widening on her face. "YES!!!!"
Penny literally tackled Ace.
*POIT*!
"OW! Easy, Babe! I know you're happy, but sheath the claws next time you do that."
"Oh, I'm sorry, Ace."
Gina groaned, causing the others to look at her. "Let me guess," Britanny began, "She's not warded?"
Gina shook her head. Looks like they were going to get another werepanther soon.
